We booked the Dinney B&B due to its close proximity to the Astbury Golf Resort, where we were attending a wedding reception.
We visited the Dinney early, to work out the logistics and chanced to meet Keith the owner. He allowed us to drop our bags in our room, gave us our keys and assured us that we could leave our car at the Astbury, walk back and he'd sort a lift back the next day - now that's excellent customer service!
The room was comfortable and clean, with a good ensuite shower room.
Breakfast was excellent with good range of choices and local produce used
True to his word, Keith took us to collect our car - not sure if this is a one off and wouldn't want to commit him to it, but made our visit a lot more enjoyable, thank you.
In summary, the Dinney is highly recommended

What a find! The Dinney’s was an absolute pleasure to stay in. It has charm, quirkiness, beautiful decor and incredible scenery. The hosts are warm and welcoming and the breakfast was divine! Highly recommend this B&B and it is the perfect location for The Astbury if you are attending an event there.

Warm welcome with numerous offers of tea and biscuits.
Lovely comfortable room with everything we needed, plus an array of books and magazines.
Our breakfast was probably one of the best we've had at a b&b - choice, quality and presentation was excellent. We also had the best view onto the garden, watching wild birds feed, and farm animals stretching their legs and voices!
The host gave us fabulous recommendations for our evening meal which did not disappoint.

Stopped for one night as at a wedding nearby, room was very clean and cosy, not a huge room but just perfect for a one night stopover, very warm and super quiet at night, breakfast was very nice with eggs from the local chickens who just wondered around the gardens, very friendly owners who made you feel very welcome and a lovely well behaved pet dog...

It is always a pleasure to stay here, everything is just right, and it’s like being home away from home.
Karen and Keith are both excellent hosts and cater to your every need (within reason) without drama whilst keeping very high standards around the property.
I wouldn’t stay anywhere else whenever I’m in the area, the views are truly spectacular.

Unfortunately will not recommend to others despite being in a convenient location on outskirts of town with country views.
Received a phone call the day before our arrival requesting to check in at 10am (check in on website stated 3pm). When I couldn’t say yes as had to check travel plans the response was unfriendly.
On arrival we both tripped over the step to the room which is carpeted, so a hidden trip hazard that should be warned about. There was no offer to carry bag to room on arrival or leaving .
The room was good and clean except for a lot of flies (it’s a b&b in grounds of a farm) but there was a lot of noise from other rooms and a loud discussion outside our door which woke us up.
I woke with a bad back from the hard mattress
The breakfast was good apart from the oily eggs but came with an insect on the side of the plate

Received a pushy phone call the day before our arrival requesting to check in at 10am (check in on website stated 3pm) due to owners attending a wedding -which was not really relevant as they are running a business. When I said not sure will have to check travel plans when not at work (!) and let her know in a few hours the owner was annoyed and tried emotional blackmail saying ‘ all the other guests are happy to check in early.’ It turned out that other guests were also attending the wedding so presumably known to the owners .
On arrival at 10 after rushing to change plans we both tripped over the step to the room which is carpeted so a hidden trip hazard that should be warned about. There was no offer to carry bag to room on arrival or leaving .
The room seemed good and clean except for a lot of flies (it’s a b&b in grounds of owners farm) but there was a lot of noise from other rooms and a loud discussion right outside our door at approx 11pm including loud agreement to have breakfast at 8:30 am so guests talking to other guests or the owners - which woke us up.
I woke with a bad back from the hard mattress which was upsetting as I had an onward journey to drive , now with a bad back.
Lastly the breakfast was good apart from extra oily eggs and bacon but came with an insect on the side of the plate - looked like a moth. Unpleasant stay

Everything was very good, breakfast was particularly good. Loved the view of the garden at breakfast with the birds at the bird feeder and the chickens and ducks running around. Keith made some suggestions about what to do which turned out to be excellent.
