Second time staying at The Hoxton, Shoreditch and I have to say it’s ok. Rooms are small and don’t have that luxury feel you’d expect. We had a problem with our room door not locking when we went out, informed reception who contacted their maintenance person, received a msg from them about an hour later saying there was nothing wrong with the door and we must have closed it incorrectly! There was clearly a problem with the door which they managed to fix, why not just admit there was a problem?? Makes no sense! Also had an issue with room above moving furniture around til 1am, my partner called reception who said they would send someone up, 5 mins later we received a call saying they’d sent security up and had advised them to stop moving furniture, luckily this worked (thank you!) and we didn’t hear them moving furniture til around 10am the next morning. Staff were friendly, the lobby is lovely, location is perfect you can easily get anywhere across London from Old Street or Liverpool St. Would we stay again? Only if it’s the cheapest (not basic budget) option.

My second time staying at The Hoxton Shoreditch and love it

We stay at the Hoxton every 8 weeks. Whenever we venture out of any other hotel - we always end up regretting it.

Great, bustling hotel for a work trip - plenty of dining options in the neighbourhood, plus close to a tube station.

We’ve been now for the 3rd time in Hoxton Shoreditch. Great stay as always. Lovely staff and perfect location. They have just renovated their rooms, too. We will come back soon.

The room and staff were fantastic. Building work was happening on the 1st and 2nd floors while I was there and I wasn’t informed either before booking or on check in. This was quite disruptive since it starts quite early and goes on all day. I was also informed afterwards that this is due to go on for the rest of the year so plan accordingly. I raised this with management and their idea of rectifying this issue was to offer an undisclosed preferential rate on a future stay.
