The building is very tired and in my opinion, desperately in need of some maintenance. Needs a deep clean and some general maintenance.
Bathroom tiles very poor. The bathroom could do with a little updating and some TLC.
Bed was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was Ok.
Staff were nice.
Parking was good.

The parking was easy. We were greeted by Jacob at check in who was friendly. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfy and a fan had been supplied as there was a heatwave and it was 23 degrees at night. The view from room number 6 was of trees and we couldn't really hear the M6.The downside was the bathroom, it was extremely tired and in need of an update, however the shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast was excellent and the staff in the pub were friendly. Location just off the M6 was brilliant. There was a Lidl's and Tesco express 20 minute walk or 5 minutes drive away.

Parking is separate from the pub car park and was separate at the back of the main building right next to the hotel, handy for carrying suitcases. The staff were very helpful, rooms are clean and have all you need for a sort stay or stopover which i have done a couple of times and are planing to again soon. The breakfast is served in the main building, and is very good with a good variety of hot and cold selections of both food and drink.

The hotel room was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. The food menu was excellent.
On the negative side, the hotel and rooms are in need of a refresh as quite rundown, but as the room was perfectly clean this wasn’t too much of an issue. The equipment at the breakfast station definitely need some replacements. The toaster kept tripping out and the coffee pot was useless as it needed to be pumped to get a tiny squirt of coffee out, although we had been told a replacement had been ordered.

The room and the full building smelt musty like an unclean smell, there was someone else’s hair in the bedsheets and on the final day I seen a black and yellow beetle type bug climbing up the bedsheet these things have really put me off and because of that I wouldn’t stay there again

Stayed there a few years ago and was surprised at the state it was now in. It really needs some TLC and attention as it’s looking very tired, carpets need replacing or at least a good steam clean. Decoration leaves something to be desired and a good over haul is needed, to bring it up to the standard it once was.
