Room was spotless and extremely comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly.

This was an overall mediocre experience. This hotel is the sheer opposite of a “sanctuary.” No one is happy to see you upon arrival and no one cares about your stay, if you ask questions, it feels like you are being bothersome. When you book a room with them, you are essentially agreeing to being on your own. The receptionist wouldn’t even provide me with an extra 6 ounce bottle of water. She only provided one keycard. They have signage to not overuse toiletries. The television has a limited number of channels and most channels have programming for senior citizens—an excess of old-time shows from the 1950s and 1960s. The elevator is extremely slow. Basically, the management is really tight with their resources, but charge a lot for the rooms. Also, their connected pub is greatly lacking diversity. The room decor was nice, but wasn’t nice enough to transform this into a good experience. This is really a substandard, soulless place promoting itself as “sanctuary.” This hotel has been neglected for too long and feels like an abandoned property. This experience was so below-average that I feel like it reduced the quality of our stay in the UK for the time we stayed there. Essentially, this hotel is confusing, it wants to be a luxurious “sanctuary” and it feels like maybe it once was when those senior citizens were in their prime, but like the old time shows on tv, it has lost its luster.

We are repeat guests of this wonderful hotel when we visit London. The location is perfect! The rooms are beautifully decorated. The staff is helpful and friendly. The restaurant downstairs is a very popular locals go-to eatery, which says it all.

The room was wonderful. Shower was fantastic with great water pressure. Beds were comfortable. Only thing was that we were in a twin room and the duvets were twin. Was hard to stay covered all night. Would have been even better with double/full sized duvet. Otherwise loved the close proximity to the underground station, and 3 minute walk to Westminster Abbey. Also had a stop right out front for the hop on/off bus tours. Very convenient. And the included breakfast was also excellent! Great stay!

Good central location for first time visitors to London. Small room but nicely decorated and a good bathroom. Would stay here again.

Always a wonderful stay. Gorgeous rooms, quiet, lovely team and amazing breakfast and dinner options in the pub too. Well position for tube with 5 min walk and all tourists spots in the area two mins away!

Great location, amenities, and outlets for recharging

Very convenient location. Fair price. Breakfast was good with enough different options. They let us check in early after arriving on a red eye which was great. Staff was very nice. Room was decent size stocked with everything you’d expect & was clean. Only complaint would be the beds were pretty uncomfortable - could feel the springs in the mattress when laying down in the standard 2 twin room. Wasn’t unbearable but not the most comfortable. All in- for the price & location you can’t beat it.

Great location, superb room and fantastic breakfast. Only negatives, where the night light in the bathroom was a little glaring/bright and there was a lot of noise in the hallway in the morning (not sure if staff or guests). Would definitely stay again!

Good location. Clean and helpful staff. But for what we paid I think we overpaid after a bit after looking at weekday rates once we were there.

This hotel is like a warm hug and the best stay on our 3 city trip. Fabio is Fabulous. Ashley is Amazing and we will never ever forget and LOVE Karen. Karen is more than a front desk staff and helped us plan excursions to make the most of our 2 day trip. Fabio was backup the next day helping us find the best routes. Did I mention breakfast - absolutely fantastic and best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had! I will 100% be staying here again and the location is fabulous. Extraordinarily well done - amazing stay! Thank you!
