The Ship Hotel

When I checked in and went to the room, the room door was left ajar and there was a soiled mass of toilet paper in the toilet.

Ideal single room for the solo traveller. Comfy bed, clean room and bathroom. The bathroom was small and the shower is snug which may not be ideal for a larger guest but well stocked wirh shampoo, shower gel etc. Some noise can be heard from outside and downstairs etc but no more than any other place I have stayed in really. On both this and my previous stay I have been in rooms on the road side so it would be nice to see what it is like on the other side away from the road as you can hear the cars going by. Toilet flush is noisy as it is a macerator system but i knew this from my last stay and it didnt seem as bad as the twin room I stayed in before. Nicely decorated character building with friendly staff and good food. I preferred this single room than the twin room my partner and I stayed in before.

Great stay

The room fine very clean

Nice pub/hotel. The food was acceptable but I was not happy with the liver and bacon dish I ordered - the liver had the texture of 'vulcanised rubber' and the cook added far too much salt as was done on my breakfast dish.

Attentive and polite staff. Food delicious! Parking good. Bedroom clean and comfortable

On checking in very welcoming on departure nothing said at all. Stay okay, but for us not pet friendly. Clean room, but not enough towels. Breakfast too greasy. Very noisy road outside. They did supply in one room ear plugs.

Room was clean and comfortable, liked the mini fridge and bottles of water everyday. Owner and staff were friendly and welcoming, a good choice of breakfast cooked to your preference, plenty of parking.

Hyggeligt hotel/inn. Lidt små og slidte værelser, men der er rent. Personalet er utrolig søde og hjælpsomme og maden er fantastisk.

Small en-suite. Traffic noise at night

Accomodation was comfortable in a traditional old pub building with narrow steep stairs. Room had a good bed and both bedroom and bathroom were modern and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Pub meals in the evening , again, were excellent with large portions, a wide menu variety and were very nice.

Nice place, and extremely good value for money. Mind your head if you're over 5ft tall! Room was good value, a little cramped but for the price it was worth it.

Both the staff and accommodation were excellent and the food could not possibly be faulted and the whole property was spotless

Hotel, bar en buitenterras zagen er op begane grond gezellig en leuk uit. Buitenterras mag wel een keer aangeveegd worden. Eten vonden wij gemiddeld.

Very friendly staff and is run with care. Great pub garden and interior.

Small single room clean and adequate for my overnight stay. Room faced the street which had a lot of traffic noise but that died down after 10.00. Bathroom including shower was very good. Breakfast and service , good.

A very nice still at an excellent pub. Easy parking, excellent breakfast, and a great location in New Romney.
