Staff very helpful Great location Lovely room

Easy to check in ,large car park to rear which is free if you buy a breakfast at hotel . Rooms are large ,spotless & warm . Tea/making facilities.lots of clean towels Shower head holder was broken, but the shower still worked fine just had to hold it . Evening meals are lovely with a large choice. The two rump steak meals with a bottle of wine , red ,white or Rosie wine is great value for money at £34 ish Staff are very friendly & nothing is too much trouble. It’s very handy to the winter gardens next door plus the main shopping street & centre is right behind.

The bed was made with the duvet right to the top of the bed and tucked in all the way round. I'm disabled and it was a real problem getting into bed

Had the ground room 4 of us lovely and clean and spacious breakfast lovely

No privacy in the room, just roller blinds on the window, so we couldn't open them as the outside tables and chairs were full of people who could look in. Could do with voils or net curtains, bathroom was very basic and looked hurrily finished and the blind did not shut, one hell of a noise when flushing the toilet. On the Saturday some of the party went back to the room for a siesta but were unable to get one as they had a rave/disco outside the bedroom window that was so loud the whole room was vibrating and the noise was horrendous! On the plus side the staff were helpful and nice, the food was delicious 👍

staff was helpful and friendly . breakfast was good and was in walking distance to the theatre were we went and saw a show . we hope to book again for next year once we get the dates of the show

Very helpful, friendly and convenient

Had to sit and wait for check in but we we were a little early, room very small and not enough towels, carpets definitely need a good clean but excellent brekfast and helpful staff

The York is a splendid building with an interesting history. However, it is sadly faded and in need of extensive renovation. Rooms are poor: my bathroom shower had no seal at the bottom of the glass screen, and water ran freely on to the floor. The towel rail had been wrenched from the wall; the shelf above the sink had been removed; the light above the sink didn’t work; the shower hose rail was about to become detached from the wall; sealant around bath was mouldy; toilet seat was the cheapest and flimsiest money could buy. Pillows were extremely thin, one bedroom window wouldn’t open. Breakfast buffet was fine but tea and coffee were not in flasks so tea was stewed. All in all, this was the tone of what purports to be a three star hotel but in my view barely merits a single star. This could be a splendid hotel with substantial investment in renovation and greater attention to detail. It’s a lovely building and a shame to see the hotel going the way of so many seaside establishments.

Loved the hotel staff were lovely and room was clean and very comfortable. Really friendly and welcoming. The area around the hotel and nearby car park was scruffy. With over flowing bins and rough sleepers. Even had a dirty mattress up against car park wall!! Such a shame because Weston super mare has a lot to offer and is very welcoming...the local council needs to step up and sort out the rubbish collection and street cleaning asap

We had a lovely big room everything was very clean .But could do with a extractor fan in the bathroom . Breakfast was lovely we were happy with are stay

Clean room, helpful staff, lovely food - dinner and breakfast. Recommend the seafood platter to share. What more can you want?

The only down fall was the bed it was very uncomfortable with spring’s sticking up from mattress

Our two friends & ourselves stayed over the Elvis weekend in February The rooms were very warm & cosy with everything you could need for your stay Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely friendly staff ,10/10 Has for the food during the stay The buffet breakfast every morning was amazing ,even having fried bread & the evening menu choices were so good ,we dined in every night Always hot & fresh We even came back the evening after we had checked out On Valentines night ,we had the two steaks & a bottle of wine deal ,great value Plus sooo good In fact our stay was so good we have re booked for next year once again

Lovely hotel. Staff were amazing so friendly. Only negative was our view was a wall as we stayed for 2 nights in the end would of liked a view of some kind

The Hotel was just fine for the money, however it was the staff who made the stay excellent. Bea, the manager was terrific and all her staff happy, friendly, accommodating and willing to do anything for their guests. The inhouse restaurant was superb. We will return.

Had a good time, staff very welcoming and helpful. Room was nice and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great.
