Clean room, good hotel facilities and friendly staff…great location

Hotel was good and staff were friendly (except in the restaurant). When we had dinner in the hotel, there were guests only at a few table and the staff was just having a chat between themselves and ignoring us. They didn’t care to come to us, had to ask them. There was also a piece of plastic in the schnitzel. The hotel is nice, but avoid the restaurant for dinner. I suggest to stay here, but eat dinner outside of the hotel. The breakfast was nice.

Room smaller than expected but comfortable, helpful staff, excellent breakfast with good quality food. Shame breakfast hours - which to be fair is fairly standard - does not quite suit travellers from different time zones and can feel rushed for those who wants a late lie in!

Lovely hotel in a central location, could be improved with tea and coffee making facilities in rooms, and better beds/pillows!

Equipped with Sauna.location was good.

Terrible overpriced hotel - outdated old rooms, ancient check in and checkout process, food is average, no water/ tea/ coffee amenities in the room. The only positive thing about this hotel is location.

Hotel is great and amazing location. Be careful with stored luggage, hotel is not responsible and anyone can go in and grab any bag. We lost one for an hour and suddenly it appeared later.

The service was extremely poor. There was no kettle or cups in the room. The waiter said it was because I booked at a lower price. I paid over 600 euros per night for the room. Even the cheapest hotels have kettles and cups.

Great hotel centrally located in Rovaniemi. Rooms are well-appointed, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. Enjoyed my stay there and will definitely stay there again.

Good Location

Stayed during peak season (week before Christmas) and paid peak pricing, but the experience did not match expectations. Check-in: Requested early check-in at 11:30am due to an early flight. Initially told to wait until 3:30pm, then repeatedly asked to wait until 4pm, even though guests arriving after us were given rooms. Eventually assigned another room after insisting. Room was not prepared for 3 adults and had to request housekeeping to add the extra bed. Housekeeping & Service: On the second day, despite placing the “clean room” sign, the room was not cleaned and towels were not changed. The sign was removed and kept inside the room, raising questions about what housekeeping actually did. At reception, responses were cold and dismissive, including being told it’s “hotel policy” not to clean rooms daily (not mentioned anywhere). When requesting fresh towels, we were asked to collect them ourselves from reception as staff was “busy.” Phones in rooms do not work, forcing multiple trips to reception. Rooms & Facilities: Rooms are very small, bathroom extremely cramped. Wi-Fi was slow, TV channels limited. Food: Breakfast spread is large but heavily meat- and bread-based. No rice or noodles. Items ran out on the second day and the buffet remained unchanged. Overall: Location is excellent and walkable, but service is inconsistent and often poor. Some staff were warm and helpful, others need better customer-handling training.

Disappointing stay. Heating didn’t work in that we couldn’t get the room warm. Fridge didn’t work. We put our son’s medication in the fridge as it needs to be refrigerated only to find in the morning that it was warm and now spoiled. Asked for a quiet room and was put next to the lift (also had noisy neighbors). Was only given one pillow per person and when asked for more pillows it was an ordeal. No phone in room to call reception. No answers to messages sent to the hotel. Room was tiny. Bathroom was tiny. For the price paid - over $550 USD I expected so much more. When I spoke to the lady upon checkout, she thought it was funny. Wish we picked another hotel. Avoid.

Scandic Rovaniemi City is an excellent choice for staying in the heart of Rovaniemi. Its location is very central and practical, especially if you have excursions booked, as tour pickups are made directly from the hotel. The rooms are modern, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast buffet is included and offers a wide variety of options, making it a great start to the day before Arctic activities. A reliable, well-run hotel that I would definitely recommend.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Food is great and our room is clean.

位於巿中心，到購物商場/餐廳都十分方便，斜對面有巴士直達聖誕老人村，唯獨距離火車站較遠。 房間整潔，房內桑拿房很好。自助早餐的腸仔很好味。
