Hotel Le Gamaritz

A great location only seconds away from Port Vieux beach yet set on a quiet road. The hosts Stephanie & Thierry are super helpful. They are proud and passionate Basques who can recommend what we see in the region. Breakfast was lovely including local Basque cheese, ham & jam. The only place to stay in Biarritz in my opinion.

Excellent stay at this very clean, comfortable property in a fantastic location. .Host Thierry was very helpful and shared his knowledge of the area. Wonderfuk breakfast as well.

Stephanie and Tierie were so nice and welcoming! The breakfast was great! The location is perfect right by the beach and town. The room was a bit small, but clean and comfy. The price was reasonable, parking is in front pay by machines, or a short walk at indigo.

Séjour parfait pour 2 nuits en famille avec 2 enfants, la chambre double était pratique la douche aussi. L’accueil des propriétaires et leur aide pour décharger les bagages étaient très appréciable. Je recommande chaleureusement cet établissement de goût, confortable et chaleureux.

Simple hotel, but nicely designed and very clean. Great location near the ocean and the city center. Receptionist super helpful and very kind. Only the room is a bit small.

Hervorragend gelegenes und ausgezeichnet gepflegtes Hotel. Der Geschäftsführer ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und mit Produkten aus der Region um Biarritz.

Accueil chaleureux. Le petit déjeuner basque était succulent et aux couleurs locales. Bonne humeur au rendez-vous.

The staff was very friendly and kind and helped us find places to eat and see around the area! It was a great check-in experience and the room was clean and very nice, great location too. Staff was amazing!

Accueil très chaleureux, le personnel est vraiment super, petites attentions pour les enfants, superbe hôtel, tres propre et tres joli, situé idéalement a 2 pas de la plage du Port Vieux et des rues piétonnes.

Établissement très propre,bien décoré. Très bien situé avec parking payant a proximité. Personnel très serviable et à l'écoute. Literie confortable et petit déjeuner copieux avec produits locaux.Seul bémol le manque d'insonorisation de la cage d'escalier et bruits de la rue le matin pour nous habitant la campagne

Excellent choice for us to stay at this hotel. it is easily walkable to the beach and nearby restaurants and shopping. Thierry was an excellent host and always at the ready for us, breakfast was delightful. Will stay here on our next Biarritz trip.

We specifically requested a certain type of room, however upon arriving late in the evening we found we got a different room and due to no staff on duty after 8pm nothing could be done about it. After involving Expedia and arguing with a night manager over texts, next morning we were given the right room. The manager told us they never saw the type of room we ordered on Expedia and never got any notes from them. I would advise checking with the hotel directly if room type/bed setup is important to you or if you have any specific requirements. Also the hotel is marketed as family-friendly, however the walls of the shower room are completely transparent only partially covered by a foldable screen. It was a tough situation for our family with 2 teenagers. And also a family room has barely any space to put down suitcases and no closets. On the upside the hotel is very centrally located easily walkable to beaches, promenades, tons of restaurants and cafes.

Nous avons logé en suite. La chambre est grande équipée d un coin salon, sanitaire et douche séparé. L accueil est parfait. Le petit déjeuné est conseillé, car avec de très bons produits frais.

Fantastic location and very friendly staff

Accueil très chaleureux, emplacement idéal! cependant le stationnement dans la ville de Biarritz est très compliqué et honnereux. La chambre mériterait un petit rafraichissement au niveau de la salle de bain (trace de rouille), pas grand chose de disponible dans la chambre (frigo, café ...).
