We stayed in this very special hotel for one night on our journey from Calais to Dijon.
It is as special as it looks in the photos having an extensive and interesting history which adds to the character & drama.
The parking is very secure and there were several charging points.
Dinner is in the restaurant adjacent to the hotel (it is part of it) and the food was really good being exceptional value for money.
Breakfast in the dining room echoed Downton Abbey grandeur!!
No hesitation in recommending and we will likely use on our next journey...in 2027!

Lovely chateau hotel full of charm. No Aircon in bedroom though they did supply a fan. Limited spirits at bar & no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. However, these minor gripes did not spoil our stay, would definitely recommend it 👍

This beautiful building is clean and lovely ambience . Room and bathroom good size and what you expect from very large old hotel odd things like some worn carpets paint worked chippped but nothing awful . The staff who greeted us young lady on reception on Friday 1st May pm was so attentive and young man who served us drinks again lovely and polite and speaks a lot of languages . The food in the restaurant on site superb and the young waitress was so lovely again . Excellent value for money !!!!

Our experience was not so good the room was nice however it was very close to a function room where there was an event. The loud music from this event went on till 01.30am so myself my husband and our 4 yr old daughter did not get to sleep till this music had stopped!
The staff were polite and friendly but no one to be seen in the bar or communal seating area if you wanted to get any refreshments.
Breakfast was also very disappointing, all the pastries looked very old and not much variety for hot and cold buffet. Not worth the money.

Beautiful and quiet property. Grounds are not quite as they could be.Breakfast is basic . Overall we really liked and enjoyed our stay. Just needs a few improvements to make it a 5 star experience.

The hotel is located in rural France, I think it used to be a stately home. The decoration is like a country house with antique type furniture and paintings. There is a minibar in the room, but no tea or coffee facilities. Sometimes it can take sometime to get a drink from the bar. There are 2 restaurants onsite and the food is nice, but not exceptional in my view. I ordered a steak one night and asked for it well done seeing that in France well done is normally a medium in England, it was overcooked by some way. It was very hot during my stay and the air-con is not sufficient.

Interesting and beautiful hotel set in lovely parkland and gardens. Good food in the brasserie and useful to know that one of the three restaurants is open each day. Plenty of parking and an hour from Calais so an excellent stopover.

Hotel der har set bedre dage, absolut ikke et 4 stjernet hotel, har boet på 3 stjernede der havde mere service og større udvalg af goder, F.eks. vand, kaffemaskine, små goodis, skrivepapir, rigtige glas eller bare plastik glas som tandkrus, og ikke pap bæger. I det hele taget, fremstod hotellet kedeligt og slidt. Baren var ikke noget at skrive om, kedelig område. Morgenmads buffeten var meget kedelig og simpel, uden særlig stort udvalg.
Værelset var hyggeligt, dog manglede der stikkontakter til opladning af div. elektroniske apparater, badeværelset lidt slid og med håbeløs umoderne vandhane løsninger, var vel fra 1960’erne, håndbruser vejede ca 2kg.
I det hele taget prøvede hotellet at udgive sig for noget, det ikke kunne leve op til. Min bedømmelse højest 2 stjerner.
Stedet har 3 restauranter, den vi spiste på, Destlleriet, var under al kritik. Maden var kedelig, halv kold, kødet næsten råt, pommesfritterne købt i nærmeste supermarked, sådan fremstod de, selv om restauranten påstod de var hjemmelavede og unikke.
Tarte Tatin, kedelig og ikke gennembagt, bar præg af at være hentet ud af køleskabet og en tur i Micro ovnen.
Personale, to unge piger til 50 gæster, der var ude på en umulig opgave. Dyrt og ikke pengene værd.
Bedømmelse, højest 1 stjerne.
Opholdet blev dog taget med et smil fra vores side.

The building is impressive, our room was large and clean. There were nice touches such as slippers, bath robes and toiletries. The lounge areas were deserted on the first day of our stay , giving the whole place the ambiance of a museum. The following day saw an influx of guests and the life of the place lifted considerably. There are cards and board games available but you needed to ask as nothing is offered. Breakfast was confusing, there was a standard and uninspiring continental breakfast but we were not told that there were hot food options on request. The opening times for the restaurants are rather limited with only the distillery restaurant available during our stay. The food at the restaurant was good but the menu was the same for lunch as well as dinner. We had been looking forward to walking around the garden which looks impressive in the hotel details. Unfortunately the garden and the tennis courts were, as a earlier review mentioned , rather tired and unmaintained. We cut our stay short.

Our room was nicely decorated and clean. The breakfast was very nice and served in a beautiful dining room. Unfortunately, a wedding was taking place the day we checked in. The wedding festivities continued (loud music, louder singing and screaming) until 4 am!!!! Tried to contact staff from 1 am but no one was available. I understand the wedding guests were happily celebrating but a cutoff time (such as midnight) should have been a part of the wedding venue agreement. The following day when I spoke to reception about the noise and our lack of sleep, I was told they could not prohibit the wedding guests from partying all night long!
We were a party of 6 adults, staying in 3 rooms. We were very disappointed with our stay and the lack of involvement by the hotel staff.

This beautiful building is clean and lovely ambience . Room and bathroom good size and what you expect from very large old hotel odd things like some worn carpets paint worked chippped but nothing awful . The staff who greeted us young lady on reception on Friday 1st May pm was so attentive and young man who served us drinks again lovely and polite and speaks a lot of languages . The food in the restaurant on site superb and the young waitress was so lovely again . Excellent value for money !!!!

Dated property but very clean and very good Size. Grounds have been left to deteriorate sadly but good spot and would stay again

A charming hotel from an older era with 2 excellent restaurants. Furnishings are a little dated and hot water takes a long time to reach the bathroom, but that just adds to it’s faded elegance.
