Aeolos Hotel

A lovely clean hotel decorated in a slightly older more traditional style. Almost like a film set from 1920’s. Art deco, dark wood, vintage desk with ‘marble’ vintage telephone and typewriter in communal sitting area. Outside door shutters made the room dark for sleeping although the fuse box and other LED’s light up the room rather. Storage space, drawers and wardrobe was great and for a change there were several bathroom hooks and towel rails for hanging clothes, wash bags and towels, a feature I find is often lacking in lots of hotel bathrooms. Shower cubicle very small though. Breakfast products were interesting and varied from day to day, larger tea and coffee cups would have been better IMO, I’m rather partial to large cups or mugs of tea and coffee needing to rehydrate in the morning especially. A cute bar next to the pool serving drinks, including cocktails. Enough sunbeds available when we were there. The pool was delicious for leisurely swims and a small seat area in the pool where you could sit in the pool and maybe read while enjoying the coolness of the water. The main town centre was a short easy walk along the bay approx 15mins where you can catch a bus, taxi to other parts of the island and pleasure and public boats to other islands here too. 4star rating given as a comparison to the previous hotel we were at which had a far wider selection of breakfast items and individual barista style coffees available which Aeolos didn’t. A very enjoyable stay nonetheless.

Struttura pulita e moderna situata sul lungomare, in una zona tranquilla e silenziosa, a circa 800 m dalla zona centrale ma facilmente raggiungibile a piedi con una passeggiata panoramica. Camere spaziose con mobilio un po datato, ma funzionale. Apprezzato l'armadio ampio e il frigorifero. Bagno ampio ma con cabina doccia un po angusta. Colazione continentale di ottimo livello e variegata sia dolce che salato. Personale cortese e disponibile. Consigliato.

The room was very clean. Staff helpful. Breakfast was great. Lots of choices. Location was very handy to walk to restaurants and waterfront.

Great older place, good bones, with nice balcony rooms overlooking the ocean. Lobby needs a decorator to work with some of the cool stuff. Could be a great and inviting gathering place for piano and cocktails. Nice rooms, Good value and location.

The hotel is situated less than a 10 minute stroll from the harbour, with great views across to Skopelos town. Little beach in front of hotel which was great for a sea swim. Hotel is exceptionally clean. Very traditional in appearance, if a little dated but it made a nice change from the trend for ultra modern Mykonian white out that many Greek hotels are going for. Staff were very friendly and approachable, from Reception to the Breakfast area. Good choice at Breakfast: hot, cold, fresh fruit, pastries etc. Dining area never felt busy and was nice to have the outdoor terrace to sit on. Garden view room was very spacious, clean and quiet. Yes it could do with a few minor touch ups but nothing major. Pool area had plenty of sunbeds, we didn’t use the pool to swim but thought the pool tiles could do with a good clean. Overall we would be happy to return to this hotel. It offers great value in a wonderful location. Just don’t expect an ‘all bells and whistles’ Four star, more a very good traditional Greek hotel.

Hotel is located just a short walk from the bus station and harbour area on the main coastal road, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Hotel has a calm laid back vibe suited to a relaxing holiday, had the feeling of a tradition Greek family run hotel. The rooms at the front of the hotel are a little more traditional and a little darker, but spacious with good air conditioning and very quiet. Breakfast was simple and plentiful with the option to eat inside or on the terrace, overlooking the pool and bay. The pool bar was friendly and had a great music selection, and was never at an excessive volume. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel overlooking the harbour. Lovely pool and bar, great service from George and Sofia. Easy walk to tavernas and port.

L'albergo è carino, semplice e molto pulito con una buona colazione. È molto tranquillo e con una bella vista sul mare.

Merveilleux. Un bel accueil tout au long du séjour. Grande chambre très propre avec beaucoup de rangement, puis vue sur la mer. Petit déjeuner est très bien offrant un bon choix. Stationnement sur le site de l'hôtel. Il y a aussi un ascenseur dans l'hôtel. L'hôtel est super bien située : près du ferry, près du bus station ou pour la location d'une auto ou autre. Facile d'aller visiter la vieille ville à pied (à peine 10 minutes) et il y a un grand choix de restaurants. Nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Fint og rent hotell, med grei beliggenhet. Ca 10 minutter å gå til sentrum. God frokost, rent og fint, fint bassengområde. Litt slitt hotell. Det eneste vi ikke var helt fornøyd med, var service fra de ansatte i resepsjon. De var lite interessert i å yte service, og var svært korte om vi spurte om noe. Fikk ingen obligatorisk info da vi sjekket inn, og måtte spørre om alt fra frokosttider til alt annet vi måtte lure på. Alt i alt 3 stjerner fra oss, da service trekker ned
