Astir Thira

The Astir Thira Hotel was just on the outskirts of town. This was nice because it made for easier access in and out of town. It was a very short 3-5 minute walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived before check-in and our room was ready for us which made it very convenient for us. The room was pleasantly clean and we had a nice view of the ocean off of our balcony. The only downside was that the main street separated the hotel from the balcony which made the room a little noisy during the day and early night. Later on at night it was relatively quiet. The room was somewhat small but this seems to be a theme when traveling in Greece. There was only a small hanging area for clothing and nowhere to put your luggage or other clothing. The bathroom area had no shelving for your toiletries and only two hooks for your towels. They would do themselves a favor if they installed more shelving in the bathroom and bedroom and hooks on the backside of the bathroom door. They also need a do not disturb sign for the rooms. The pool and surrounding area was very well maintained. Breakfast was included and was good. Staff was very friendly and always had a warm greeting. For the ladies who like to pack a hairdryer, there is no need to pack one if you stay here. My wife said the hairdryer they have is the absolute best she has ever used and is nothing short of amazing. We would easily stay here again.

Beautiful place lovely people clean and walkable to surrounding area

The front desk employees Alma and Anna were amazing. They were so helpful and kind. The rooms were spotless and the pool was clean and relaxing. We would recommend to everyone

O hotel é ótimo. Fica muito perto de Thira (5 minutos a pé), mas não fica no meio da bagunça, então achamos isso muito bom. O quarto que ficamos foi recentemente reformado. Banheiro moderno e chuveiro quentinho. A funcionária da recepção foi muito solícita e simpática e nos ajudou a organizar um passeio de barco, foi muito atenciosa com todas as nossas dúvidas. O café da manhã é ok, mas não achei maravilhoso. É das 8h às 10h, mas um dia chegamos às 9h30 e já não tinha mais nada, isso foi chato. Então recomendo que chegue às 9h no máximo para tomar café da manhã. Mesmo assim, eu com certeza recomendaria o hotel!

Et lille og hyggeligt hotel. Et roligt og indbydende poolområde. Lige uden for byens larm men i gåafstand til byen og supermarked. Ikke noget stort og fancy, men et dejligt familiedrevet hotel fyldt af søde og imødekommende mennesker. Her skal vi bo når/hvis vi kommer tilbage til Santorini

Nice location walking distance to town, but also on a main, busy and sometimes noisy road. Very responsive staff. Nice swimming pool. Room and bathroom (especially the tub/shower) smaller than we were expecting for the price.

Very cute place. 5 min walk from the bus stop and even closer to shops and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was really good. Comfy bed but the shower had issues draining. Beautiful view of the volcano.

We had a pleasant stay at Astir Thira. Rooms are clean and it has a beautiful pool. It’s a 10-15 mins walk to Fira, which is a nice walk with the view of the caldera.

Clean and convenient

I was a bit skeptical ordering, but expectations were better then expected! Looks kinda away from the centrum, but it was like 5 minute walk. The service is amazing! Really helpful with everything! Only thing to mention is insects inside, but I’m pretty sure they’re everywhere around other hotels tho.

The pool area was beautiful. The rooms were spacious and were decorated with upscale class. The staff was friendly and accommodating!

Wir waren ganze 8 Tage dort und wir haben den Sonnenuntergang jeden Abend vom Balkon aus genossen. Der Busbahnhof, Supermarkt wie auch Thira sind in 10 Min. zu Fuss erreichbar. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und ich kann das Hotel sehr empfehlen.

티라 중심지에서 5분 거리이고, 캐리어를 갖고 이동하는데 큰 어려움은 없음. 식사나 청소등은 양호함. 직원들도 친절함

The ratings are based on the location of the room allocated to me.. The hotel itself is good, it has a pleasant staff and is conveniently located Close to stores and restaurants. I am a solo traveler but booked a more expensive large triple room with one double bed and one twin. Rooms with this layout were on the ground floor and since most hotels here did not have elevators or bell boys I had to choose this because I did not want to hassle with carrying the luggage. I was shocked when I was given Room number 3, right next to the Reception and breakfast area. Outside my front door and bathroom were stairs going upstairs and also stairs going downstairs to the rooms around the pool area. Also the door to one of the wings going to rooms such as mine was near my front door. The WC was also there. Everyone going to their rooms upstairs or downstairs would pass by my room. People also kept their bags/ suitcases near my front door if they were checking out later in the day. There was plenty of activity. My bathroom had a very small shower area with a flimsy plastic curtain and water would overflow. I asked if there was another room available and I was shown room number 2. Wonderful room with a view of the swimming pool outside the front door and it had a tub. The receptionist checked with the owners if she could give me this room but it was denied because it was held for a couple who were arriving the next day and they had stayed here previously.
