The hotel is smaller than expected but still very clean, comfortable.

I loved staying at this hotel. It was right in the middle of Athens city center with tons of shopping and restaurants around. Our room looked just like the pictures. It was cleaned perfectlty every day. Water and coffee were also restocked for free daily. Nothing to complain about besides tbe construction going on in front of the hotel but that wasnt their fault.

Love this place

Very nice and comfortable hotel! Clean and modern rooms. We were lucky to get a room with a view of the Acropolis which was perfect. The rooftop was also nice! Perfect location with walking distance to everything we wanted to do and see.

The location of Regal Hotel Mitropoleos was fantastic. We were looking for something in the heart of things and this met that need. Our view from our 2nd floor window was incredible. We had a perfect view of the Acropolis. Note, make sure you ask to be on 2nd floor or higher and facing the Acropolis. The staff were great. There was a bar on the 7th floor that had a fantastic view of the Acropolis. Staff there were wonderful also. There were a few things that I would change if I could. The carpets were old and stained, the cleanliness of the areas outside of the rooms could be improved and the way the showers were built had water all over the bathroom floor. For the time we stayed there, these things didn’t bother us, but it might for others or for longer stays.

Avoid it: unreliable, poor service, noisy and small rooms First of all, the service of this hotel is completely unreliable. During my stay, there was a taxi strike with no available taxis whatsoever (not even Uber). One day before, I organized with the hotel a transfer with the hotel's private driver/chauffeur to take me back to the airport the next day. The lady at the reception told me it was 100% confirmed and that the driver would show up the next morning. At night, I went to the reception once again to confirm my transfer. This time, they told me their driver might not show up and that they wouldn't know ("let's see if in the morning he shows up"). I mean, it's the hotel's private driver and they dont know? What? Totally unreliable on something people are expecting for and that they cannot be late. The hotel's driver never showed up indeed which shows the type of service this hotel provides. The reception just told me I need to understand these things happen (what?!) and to take the subway. I mean, this is totally unacceptable. Worst service I've ever seen. Last, but not least: rooms are very small (bathroom is microscopic) and very very noisy. They even give you airplane earplugs due to the noise. Despite its great location, avoid it at all costs.

O Hotel é muito bem localizado em Plaka. Fui acomodado no primeiro andar e por isto todo o ruído da rua incomodou muito. As janelas não são acústicas . A Igreja da praça ao lado toca um sino em horários desagradáveis ,para quem descansa a falta de um bom isolamento acústico faz falta. As fotos da internet não mostram que a entrada do hotel é uma portinha. Para um hotel 4 estrelas não é nem de perto o que você espera. Fotos e vídeos da internet enganam. O Hotel tem um restaurante no Rooftop que tem uma vista espetacular da Acrópole. A comida é muito boa, o bar também. Neste mesmo Rooftop é servido o café da manhã não incluso na diária e também muito bom. O banheiro é pequeno e a água espalha no banheiro. O box não isola totalmente, falta pressão no chuveiro e a temperatura é ajustável perfeitamente . A cama é boa sim com bom enxoval. A limpeza do quarto é bem feita. No entanto o custo benefício está dentro da proposta do Hotel três estrelas. Quem quiser se hospedar pode ir tranquilamente pois vai entregar o necessário sem luxo e maiores confortos. Come-se bem em volta e recomendo para o café da manhã o ERGON. É satisfação garantida.

We loved this hotel aside from two issues: 1: They charged us additional taxes when we arrived claiming that Expedia didn’t cover it. If true this seems manipulative since I’ve never been charged taxes on top of and after I booked a place online. 2: The hotel restaurant has a beautiful view of the Parthenon and the vibe is great but the food isn’t good and our waitress inaccurately reflected the menu in order to increase our bill and loudly asked out loud if my wife wanted to add a tip for the meal after providing poor service in what seemed like an attempt to force one in a country where that’s not expected and wouldn’t be provided with the poor service that we received. We definitely wouldn’t eat there again.
