Beautiful view!!!

We went to this hotel because of the view and the sauna - and we got so positively suprised! The sea view is spectacular, just outside the window. 🌊💫the breakfast amazing with options à la varte. The people working there was very friendly also. Thanks a lot and hope to be back! 💞

Absolutely incredible!!! The staff were amazing, it was super new and clean. The architecture was great and the breakfast was the highlight for us.

Incredible experience in this lovely hotel in Chania. Everything was perfect, from the service to the restaurant.

Everything was incredible from the moment we arrived. Early check in was available, the team arranged parking for our car. Had dinner both nights at the restaurant and can’t fault the food, my chef partner loved everything on the menu. Staff were so attentive and lovely. Good location if you’re looking for somewhere slightly out of town, a little quieter. Only a 20ish minute walk into old town.

Amazing experience! Beautiful property

A very unique/ strange property set amongst derelict buildings. The hotel itself is very upmarket, clean and modern. The Moet and nibbles in the room on arrival was a lovely touch. A shuttle to town could have been useful with no real bar there. The walk is 20-30 minutes Breakfast was great with lots of choice and great outlook. Some homeless boys showed up outside asking for money and looking at my hand bag while I was sunbathing, also going in the swimming pool entrance which made us wary of our belongings and safety. I wouldn’t call it a spa hotel as there is no one on site and we tried to get massages on 3 occasions. We were offered 7.30pm at night which was not ideal but eventually after asking several times my husband got one but I didn’t. The breakfast restaurant staff were very welcoming and the man on reception (with tattoos, sorry I don’t remember his name) was very accommodating, attentive and helpful. The evening restaurant staff we did not find very friendly. The first night we went for a drink around 10/10,30pm on our return from walking to town. I am not keen on fizzy drinks and asked for orange juice which they were unable to provide, the subsequent nights we went to the only other bar a few doors down where we did feel welcome and offered food choices other than fish. The property and cleaning is 5 star but the attention to detail and small things at a 5 star hotel from staff was lacking a little for me.

Wonderful place to stay

Room was gorgeous, spacious, and loved the steam shower! Had a room with balcony. Staff were all very nice and willing to help! Great service!

Beautiful hotel with great location and services.

Beautiful hotel right on the water, amazing restaurant, we had a great dinner and breakfast. The rooms had an amazing view of the sea and very modern and luxurious.

Our stay at The Tanneries was exceptional. The property is gorgeous and modern yet fitting the historical surroundings, the rooms are also very modern and lovely with immediate proximity/ views to the water. Most importantly the staff is wonderful. On the first day of my stay I got a massage, scrub and facial with Katarina and it was excellent. Then the next day the reception staff went out of their way to help when my colleague was not feeling well. I can’t say enough about The Tanneries hotel and how they go out of their way for guests.

Loved The Tanneries Spa and Resort. Amazing room, jacuzzi, steam shower, complimentary sparkling wine, complimentary breakfast…so many positives that it’s hard to list them all. I highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect stay, very stylish, one of the best hotels we stayed so far. Only thing to improve would be the outdoor jacuzzi. It’s so cold, it should be a hot jacuzzi! Than it would be the most perfect stay.
