Braye Beach Hotel

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, going beyond the norm. The room was well presented with a brilliant view of the beach. Not only was tea and coffee available in the room but a ready supply of biscuits. Whist downstairs water was available all day. A brilliant hotel from Manager to cleaner.

Everything was perfect. Nice room, amazing friendly and helpful receptionists. Great food. Nothing not to like.

First time on Alderney, we were really impressed with our hotel, room was lovely and clean, bed was so comfy, the staff were fabulous, what a great team you have there, all of them were attentive, polite and so friendly, very knowledgeable about where to go and what to do. I would highly recommend to any to go and stay there. Hoping to return ourselves in June 26.

The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning with views over the beach and the ability to sit outside beachside. The location is really spectacular. The staff were so friendly and very helpful which was much appreciated. The reason I have rated down on cleanliness is the toilet and sink in the en-suite were dirty from the last guests so I cleaned this myself before I used the bathroom and there was a repetitive noise that would go off and on in the night in the bedroom (sounded like a ventilation system that wasn’t working properly) which meant I slept terribly. The quality of the breakfast was also not good - I can’t eat egg or dairy and all of the hotels I have stayed in recently have used good quality meats which means I can eat them however here I was informed they contained milk which shows they are more processed products so I had incredibly limited options for breakfast. If you have food allergies you may find you have very little choice at breakfast. It would also be great if the cafe area to get coffee opened before 10am as it’s quite late.

Best location if you arrive by ferry as it is only about 2 minutes' walk from the harbour. Also best location for the best beach on the island. Very helpful staff and nice hotel overall. Could do with freshening up but very comfortable. Breakfast ok but not as good as some of the raving reviews led us to believe. Restaurant also ok but there are other dining options nearby.

This hotel had lovely views over the harbour. All the staff were a delight; friendly, helpful and very organised. They could not have been more helpful, and their friendliness made our holiday even more enjoyable.

It’s very relaxing being a room overlooking the beech

We arrived by ferry, two minutes walk from this modern, clean property. The staff were friendly helpful and engaging.

Very comfortable hotel. Room well equipped and nice touches like fresh milk in fridge. Excellent breakfast with choice. Fab location on the bay/ beach. We had to leave early on last morning to get 7am boat and were presented with well stocked breakfast tray night before.

Nice hotel in a beautiful beach location. Room was comfortable and quiet with lovely view of the Braye beach. Only downside was the lack of dining options for multiple nights since we stayed during the week and The Vaults is only open Friday and Saturday night. Otherwise very happy with our stay on the peaceful island of Alderney.

Beautiful hotel in a superb location with very friendly and helpful staff. The food was good but not excellent as the chef had a tendency to overlook everything!

We paid over £200 a night for a sea view room overlooking Braye Bay. We instead had one overlooking the restaurant roof. We asked the hotel staff to give us what we had paid for and they refused. They would not refund us either, we just had to lump it.

What an amazing hotel. Such a warm friendly welcome from Regan and all the staff who continued to look after us so enthusiastically throughout our stay. The hotels position on the powder soft sand beach is breathtaking and our well equipped room really made the most of the sweeping views. Everything was well thought out, in great condition and spotless, The hairdryer socket close to the mirror , good size towels and proper milk in the fridge. A great shower! The food in the restaurants was delicious and beautifully presented with local produce and plenty of choices. Even on sunny days the beach was peaceful. We loved hearing the waves at night. Shirley in the restaurant was a star and we wish Julian all the best in his new position there. His friendly helpful approach will be appreciated .Thank you all. We hope to be back soon!
