Hotel GIN Budapest

The hotel was about 20 minutes south of the majority of the tourist locations but smells lovely

The location of the hotel and friendliness of the staff (Agnes in particular) is all that I can recommend. Our room smelt, the carpet was soaking wet, there was no fan in the toilet (which isn't ideal when it opens into the bedroom area), the water was warm not hot, and a member of the staff walked into our bedroom as we were sleeping. We raised our concerns with reception however , apart from a heater being put in the room to help dry the wet carpet (it didn't) , no other solutions were offered. We would not visit this hotel again.

La habitación, el hotel y la recepción fue todo bien. El problema es que pagas un precio extra para poder hacer el pago en el hotel y una semana antes te retienen ese dinero de tu tarjeta de crédito y si no te cancelan la reserva. Opción de pagar en el hotel pero no mucha. Y no se queda ahí, hace más de una semana que llegamos al hotel e hicimos el pago y seguimos sin recibir el dinero de la reserva. Así que el resultado es que pago una tasa extra para pagar en el hotel pero me retienen la totalidad del pago desde una semana antes hasta unos 10 días después (que continuo sin recibir el importe), por lo que tengo doble gasto durante casi tres semanas.

The hotel was in a great location and the hotel was spotless. The reception staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend to anyone thinking of visiting Budapest. The breakfast was at the sister hotel. A couple of mins walk but was excellent breakfast.

Plenty if shops and bars around. We didnt have a balcony

Cosy and modern hotel in great conditions and central location. I'll be coming back.

Tolles Hotel in bester Lage! Saubere, gemütliche Zimmer, freundliches Personal und leckeres Frühstück. Perfekt für einen Aufenthalt in Budapest – jederzeit wieder!

Alt er fint og godt. Det eneste der trak ned var at morgenmad var på søsterhotellet ca 500 m derfra. Ellers fint med alt

Bodde två nätter på detta fantastiska hotell som överträffade våra förväntningar. Det är modernt, stilrent inrett, rent och funktionellt. Personalen är trevlig och hjälpsam och det ligger väldigt bra till med shopping, restauranger och flera sevärdheter på gångavstånd. Bussar, spårvagnar och tunnelbana finns också nära. Flygbussen stannar ca 300m från hotellet. Vi hade bokat rum med frukost, vilken serverades på systerhotellets restaurang Solid (Michelin 2023) runt hörnet. Den ligger på 7e våningen med mycket vacker utsikt över stan. Den stora besvikelsen var dock att man fick välja EN frukosträtt från deras meny samt en varm och en kall dryck. Väldigt gott men absolut inget man blev mätt på. Inte ens påtår av kaffe ingick. Det är det enda som drar ner betyget för vår vistels

Ce séjour aurais été excellent ci le petit déjeuner était dans l'hôtel. Hors nous devions faire une marche de 3mn pour prendre notre petit déjeuner , pas top pour notre organisation du matin ou et en période d'hiver Ce petit détail n'était pas signalé sur votre plate forme lors de notre réservation . Niveau confort le matelas vraiment trop dur ( 4 mauvaise nuit, chambre 402)!! Dommage 😕. Sinon un accueil fort agréable, toujours souriant...

Tout ! Vraiment ! La situation proche des transports, des commerces de proximité, bien placé dans le centre. La chambre spacieuse, bien équipée, bien décorée, le personnel souriant, l’agréable odeur dans les couloir, vraiment, tout. Et la cerise sur le gâteau, c’est le petit déjeuner dans le restaurant gastronomique (1 etoile Michelin) sur le toit où chaque matin, nous avons pris un plat différent et succulent. Vraiment je vous remercie pour cet agréable séjour.

After a long flight, I arrived at the hotel at 10:30pm. Check-in was seamless, as I had completed it two days prior. I went downstairs and spoke to Peter, showed him the video I took, and he agreed it was strange. He promised me a new room for the next two days, as the hotel was fully booked that night. The next morning, after not getting much sleep, I packed my things and went to the lobby, only to be told by another staff member that the hotel was full for the rest of the weekend. This put me in an embarrassing situation, as I had to return to my original room. That said, I still had a great time in Budapest. I’m surprised by the unwelcoming room, the false promises, and the lack of compensation—especially from a hotel associated with a Michelin-star restaurant and the Solid rooftop breakfast.

Huone oli korkea, tilava ja kauniisti sisustettu, mm. valaistus oli hyvä. Hyvä suihku ja kylpyhuoneessa laskutilaa tavaroille. Siivous oli moitteetonta.

The room was beautiful and very large. The staff was very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here. The dinner at the sister hotel was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend trying Salt. It is a meal of a lifetime and the service was beyond good. 5 star all around.

Breakfast: great! Staff: great!! Room: great! Location: great! Greatness all around, not even joking. Staff are professional, friendly, super helpful. Breakfast at the sister hotel - RUM - with wonderful views and service, didn't care one bit that it's a different location (3 whole mins walking distance!) Will be certainly coming again if visiting the city. Thanks for everything! -D
