Great place to stay with an amazing view and cozy sleeping room.

Very basic accommodation. Enough for a comfortable night’s sleep, but furniture was very basic and there was nothing inviting about the place - as if someone assembled a bunch of okra stuff and placed it in the room.

We had nothing to complain about it

Die Unterkunft war sehr ordentlich und schön. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Auch Anliegen werden von der Gastgeberin berücksichtigt.

We loved the location as it is situated in the hills. The cottage is modern and a great place to stay the night after a long day of travelling. The check-in instructions are clearly communicated which makes everything very easy. We would definitely recommend this location.

Great to have the whole space to the family. Could use more blackout and the house was very warm.

The best hotel we stayed in Iceland. Real nice bedding, clean bathroom and nice lobby with bar open until mid-night. After long day travel, this was the best place to relax and rest. Glad we picked this hotel.

Everything was perfect. The property was way better than it looks in pictures. The only thing is the water had a very strong sulphur smell. You cant drink it for sure. Using it for shower and brushing was very difficult.

Modern, nice space. Shower was small, but otherwise very comfortable.

Sehr schöne ruhige Lage. Der Komfort war gut und die Landschaft fantastisch. Die Kommunikation verlief auch reibungslos. Es hat ein wenig gedauert, bis ich verstanden habe, wie man die Tür so abschließt, dass man auch den Schlüssel wieder rausziehen kann. Beim zumachen der Tür muss man die Klinke nach oben ziehen, erst dann kann man den Schlüssel so weit nach rechts drehen, dass abgeschlossen und der Schlüssel wieder rausziehbar ist :-). Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen.

Grocery store was randomly closed the day we were there but otherwise big and beautiful place to stay with an amazing view!

La ubicación es perfecta para ver Auroras Boreales. Lo negativo fue el mal olor y limpieza insuficiente. Tuvimos que tener la casa abierta y aún así se no se iba el olor a comida muy fuerte.

This place was perfect for our mid journey stop en route to northern Iceland. It was so cosy and welcoming, with everything catered to. The owner left us some very useful tips about things to do and see nearby. We had an incredible night here as we got to see the aurora in a cloudless sky for hours!!! The seal watching nearby, the next morning was a bonus.

We were given a different room on day of arrival, but still there were many flys. We spent over an hour to catch over 40 flys but the owner only responded with an apology without any actions. Next morning there were more flys and we suspect they were hiding in the ceiling. It was a horrible experience like no other places we stayed in Iceland. Cannot imagine how much worse it will become in summer.

We drove here bummed because we haven’t seen the northern lights yet. Late at night we heard rumbling outside and the lights were bright and right at in front of our place. Loved this place and its cleanness. My friends and I said we would stay here again.

We loved our stay at the Hvammstangi Hill Homes - it was quiet and the house very clean and cozy. We even saw the northern lights from the side of the house last night!

Buen lugar para ver auroras boreales.

Sehr schöne Hütte mit genug Platz für vier Personen. Alles sauber und reibungsloser Check-In per Key-Box. Außerhalb, aber doch zentrale Lage, wodurch man alles schnell mit dem Auto erreichen konnte, aber trotzdem etwas Natur genießen konnte beim Blick aus dem Fenster. Alles da, was man braucht

Lovely apartment with plenty of room and home amenities. The staff was very communicative with directions and contactless registration. Property was clean with beautiful views of the fjord.
