Had the best time!

Made to feel very welcome from arrival through to departure. Everything was brilliant. Lovely spacious room , good nights sleep. Breakfast was really fresh and great quality with plenty of choices. Excellent evening meal were enjoyed with amazing view across to fort. Advice and tour particularly the camel trip was brilliant and we really enjoyed the trip arranged for us by the hotel and riding camels in the desert and meeting fellow travellers. Return trip after a night at a desert camp. Staff went above and beyond to get us the room that we wanted with the best fort view. We arrived before check in time and were treated to a complimentary lunch in the roof top restaurant. On departure, staff made sure we had plenty of water for our road trip and even packed us a lunch. Would definitely stay here again, largely for the location, but mainly for the excellent service.

Simply very well managed and run in every way imagined. Loved our stay here. Would recommend to everybody to bake this a 1st Choice. I"ll stay again next time. Big thanks to every staff and manager in 1st Fusion.

Very convenient location. Best view is from the roof top restaurant, but breakfast isn’t served there. Owners kept our luggage free of charge for one night while we headed to the desert. Food was quite good, breakfast had great local fresh options.

We had a wonderful stay at First Gate. The location is great because it is right opposite the Jaisalmer fort. You can walk from the hotel to the fort. The market is also walking distance. Fantastic location! As for the property, it's truly wonderful. The exterior has a yellow sandstone, rustic look but the interior is fully modernized. The room had a nice living area (with a couch, coffee table and TV), a spacious bathroom and a bedroom (with a double bed and appliances). The property also has a rooftop hotel that overlooks the fort ; we had dinner here one night and the experience was excellent. The amenities in the room were pretty good too (bathrobes, coffee maker, refrigerator etc). The property also offers breakfast which has traditional Indian and also continental options. They also have all day snacks and coffee/tea/lemonade at the breakfast area. The staff was really nice and friendly. The helped us book reliable transportation to Udaipur (at an extra cost) and also packed us sandwiches and water for our onward trip. I would highly recommend this property. It's clean, safe, quiet and has great amenities.

The hotel was very clean. The food available was fantastic and very varied including local Rajasthan dishes. Our room had an upstairs sitting area with a view of the fort. Whilst everything was perfect the best part were the staff from the guy who made my Indian breakfast to the manager who gave us sandwiches when we left. We were only able to eat one evening at the hotel but the food, service and view of the Fort was perfect. Nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful staff.

Amazing service. Staff is very nice and caring. The owner, Manoj, is very friendly, a pleasure to talk to and takes care of all guests. We enjoyed this stay very much, it felt like home. The rooms were spacious and very nicely decorated.

When greeted at 1st Gate Home Fusion, we were told that we may have arrived as guests but we will leave as someone a part of their family and they couldn’t have put it better. Everything about this place is so homely, from the vibe, the staff and the décor. When deciding to choose a place to stay at Jaisalmer we were torn between inside the fort or outside and owing several reasons we chose the latter and glad we were to do so. Located just outside the fort entrance, 1st Gate Home Fusion has the incredible advantage of location-you can choose to walk to the fort for a sunset and sunrise or head out to the several places in Jaisalmer. The rooms here receive a special mention-no two rooms are alike when it comes to décor, extremely tasteful and eye pleasing, with larger windows, unlike most places to stay at Jaisalmer. There is a gym, several seating areas, a pool and a very friendly dog, Simba! The breakfast is good and the unlimited tea and coffee and cookies, cake and water bottles are a splendid addition. The reviews that we read mentioned about the Italian restaurant being the best in Jaisalmer and it is entirely true. They serve Italian, Indian and some Rajasthani delights too. If there, do try out their special coffee! I must mention the courteousness of the owner who proposed to pack us food when we were leaving for the airport after a hearty lunch there although we had checked out a day earlier to stay at a desert camp. Highly recommended!

The hotel looks lovely and is ideally situated. Close to the Jaisalmer fort and walking distance to other sites. Food especially the pizzas was good… it is a veg hotel though! Beautifully designed rooms and sit outs . Very friendly staff. Sumptuous breakfast . Overall excellent!!

From the moment we arrived until we checked out, the attention to detail and hospitality was excellent. We stayed in five different properties in India and this was by far the best.

Wonderful hotel with a friendly, helpful staff. They helped arrange a day trip out into the desert and a half day tour of nearby temples. I really enjoyed several massages at the hotel spa after some hard days touring. And the breakfast buffet and rooftop restaurant lunches and dinners were delicious. You csn’t Go wrong at First Gate!!
