Bhanwar Vilas Guest House

This is a good place in the old town of Udaipur. It's convenient and fairly clean for the area. Just note that the area is run-down and dirty—but that's old town Udaipur. Also note that there is no elevator.

Tucked just off old Main Street not easy to find and harder to stop taxi or Tuk Tuk near. Close to the main attractions. Set over 4 floors plus roof with views of old city, note no lift. Has some old character. Rooms a good size with bathroom attached are comfortable but a bit tired. WiFi only on ground floor and it’s not great. Can be noisy at night but it’s from nearby bars and Unfortunately you will hear everywhere in old town at night. Overall a good stay.

Everything is nearby like city palace, bagoreki haveli,pichola lake,Jagdish temple ..room is fine.,.owner is nice gentleman...no issues..,.I recommend this hotel.

Very friendly staff, good location. They will help you sort out tours/transport etc if you want them to. Would happily stay again if visiting Udaipur.

The property was nice, it was clean and safe. The location was amazing. Close to everything. The owner is the nicest man, helped us with directions and transportations. Only two things, they are not bad but good to know. There are a lot of stairs and to keep it safe tell the owner when you plan to use hot water to shower. He will make sure you get it, he has a great a disposition.

We really enjoyed our stay here, they are really helpful and sorted out trips for us and told us what prices should be to avoid the tourist rate, they also put us in contact with a driver to our next stop in jodhpur, got all our washing done and returned in time. Would definitely recommend them :-)

My Udaipur Home. I trust the first impression and when saw the pic of Bhanwar Vilas,I knew it was right place for me. I loved my staying there and felt really homey. All the family members were so nice and helpful. The Guest house is located well. City Palace, Lake, Monsoon Palace and amazingly beautiful Jagdish Temple not to mention all the tourist spots were really near. Rooms were nice and very clean, If I wanted something I got it. I'm also happy of all the help I got. I will be missing my Udaipur home and all of you!

Pour un budget limité, cet hôtel est excellent. Un endroit stratégique pour tout faire à pied. Juste à 3min du city palace avec beaucoup de choix de restaurants! Le personnel est très accueillant et aux soins des hôtes. La chambre est correct mais basique. Il fait froid la nuit en Décembre, même avec trois couvertures c’était pas assez. C’est le seul point noir durant mon séjour. Je remercie le propriétaire qui m’a donné beaucoup de conseils durant mon séjour et m’a beaucoup aidé pour organiser mes visites.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location. Very large rooms, hot water, cable TV HBO, comfortable bed, laundry facilities (roof drying), ceiling fan with great staff all makes you feel part of their family. WiFi is good in the lobby but not the rooms. SIM card worked fine in the room. No lift but stairs are no problem. They allowed me to stay in the room until my night train departed. Loved the hotel, staff and location.

I chose this place purely based on the favourable guest reveiws it had received, and I was not disappointed. Ended up staying almost 2 weeks, at times getting medical and nursing care too! Facilities and amenities as being described are all available - nothing more nothing less and no fuss!

The villa is hidden in a small ally way, kind of hard to find but it wasn't a problem as the hotel staff came pick us up. Upon arriving the owner, Mr Sharma, greeted us and said "this is not a hotel, not a guesthouse - this is your home!" and he made sure that we are comfortable. We had only 1 day in Udaipur, too tight for proper sightseeing in the city actually, and Mr Sharma came to rescue by recommending us some most important sights and suggested a scheduled for us. He also recommended us a restaurant and arranged a yoga class for my mom upon request, without charge. The hotel is 5 minutes from the palace, 2 minutes from the temple, and 2 minutes from the Lake - couldn't ask for a better location. The room is simple, clean and the bed comfortable. There's no lift but the hotel staff will help you with your luggage. Wifi didn't work at night but I didn't notify the hotel as I have bought a sim card for the trip and it didn't bother me. We have enjoyed our short stay and Bhanwar Vilas, and we will be back the next time we visit Udaipur!

The best thing about this hotel is the hot water! They only switch it on at certain times of the day, but when it is on it's hot and it doesn't run out quickly - really nice with the chilly weather in udaipur in December. Overall a good experience, but be warned many of the rooms here are up many stairs. Also the management will hassle you a lot for a review which makes their service all feel a little disingenuous.

We had a really nice stay in this guesthouse. Clean, light and spacious room. Very kind and helpful hosts. Top choice in Udaipur!
