Hotel Royal Orchid Bangalore

When trying to call in room dining the phone in the room was not working. Had to call to send someone to repair it from my mobile after finding hotel number from google. Next day left early with DND light on. On my return in the evening I noticed my room cleaned. Don’t think the staff noticed the light. I left the DND on to avoid anyone coming in as my things were all open. After a long day while trying to take a nap there was heavy drilling noise for which I called reception 3 times and all 3 times I was told it has stopped but did not. Later I got a knock on the door again inspite the DND sign on and there stood a staff from reception with a man from maintenance who said that work stopped at 5.30 and where is the noise. It was about 6.30 and I told him it has been going on and off since and hour and you say the work has stopped. Anyway could not take their nonsense so checked out of the hotel and went to another Hotel.

The room is a bit old, but still clean. The restaurant is average.

Main Hotel areas are nice Restaurant is good Feedback for Improvement: - Rooms feel dated - *International travellers can't connect to Wifi easily (Indian Phone Number required) - Hotel doesn't allow Meals to be billed to Room, which is an easy improvement *it's not possible to connect to Wifi without Hotel IT manually adding your IP Address

Nice location. Need to work on cleanliness and overall property needs a renovation. Best location for Golfers having early tee off

Good location. Need to update the hotel as it looks old n worn out. Service is good n staff trying to keep it clean. Fixtures need upgrade

I’m very disappointed with my stay. The AC control, iron box and the TV does not work. The room was very warm, couldn’t cool it down. I gave my clothes for ironing and the person did not return till evening. Out of 5, I’ll give either 0.5 to 1 rating for this hotel. I’m surely not coming back.

The room allocated to us didn’t dnt have dryer working and the bed was queen size. Location wise good

Friendly Staff and great food where we had dinner and breakfast. Air condition in the room is not impressive as we felt but sweaty even after lowering the temperature. Staff is trying hard to get rid of misquotes which is kind of working because of that you find the mosquito repellent smell everywhere which is bit uncomfortable. Over all it is ok to stay for a night and couple of days for food 😉

The hotels old but the staff is pretty efficient. Special shout to Sangeeta at the front desk.

Lack of co-ordination among staff. I was provided a room that was not cleaned, I was promptly shifted, of course. Hotel functions like it's still 1995.

Rooms in need of repair. Air Conditioning not sufficient and rooms rarely cooled down enough to sleep. Food was mediocre and food service poor. Desk staff were fairly helpful but seemed put out by any requests. Doorman and Bell staff were excellent and extremely helpful.

It is a beautiful hotel with excellent staff and eating options. Fair exchange rates are better than all Indian hotels I've stayed at. Infinity pool is pretty cool. The gym needs improvement; the equipment is outdated or simply not working. Be prepared to be called sir/ma'am a lot. I reciprocate to see the look on their faces light up.

Hotel location is out of town, dining options in and around the hotel are very limited. The pub offers no draft beer despite having 5 tabs and food was not nice. The room was big but the aircon did not work properly and the aircon display was not working so I couldn’t tell the setting. Room condition was alright but not as good as it looks in the photos. Booked a club room and the view was terrible, the shower head was blocked and tiny amount of water shooting out into all directions from the shower head. Check in and out was extremely slow (takes over half an hour) and they tried to charge us again when we check out (we paid at check in). Reception staff was useless (despite they tried). It was difficult to call an Uber due to the location but the reception could not help get a taxi either. All they could do was to give us a car for one ride to town which costed 2000 INR (renting a car online with driver is only 2200INR for a day). Security at the door was very helpful though and clearly knows what he is doing. Overall it is not worth the price and will not recommend it to others.

Good Hotel. Great location for golfers. Rooms and washrooms are starting to show age. Not bad though.

After some initial hiccups, the staff took my escalations seriously and made up for a pleasant stay. Reasonable pricing for the quality of stay / service provided.

The room wasent clean and a few of the amenities were not presented...tat was very disappointing

In-room dining options, staffs and view. I did not like is check-in process was too slow and not flexible for NRI guests.
