Property is nicely located in the outer less populated side of Chennai.
Cons-
A) BED- I booked for a family of 2 adults and 2 children(3,8yrs). The site showed the room having "2 TWIN beds sufficient for the family". On checking in, I was shocked to see that the room had only 1 regular double bed instead of 2 TWIN(double) beds. Surprisingly, the staff and Hotels.com customer care informed that this is the nomenclature used by the IBIS hotel. This is a serious issue because by mentioning TWIN you are giving an impression that it is a DOUBLE and 2 TWIN bed means 2 Double bed. This falls under the purview of false advertisement intended to mislead the customers. We somehow managed to spend the night.
B) Room size- Utterly Liliputian rooms. Considering the cost(5,200) and family size (2 adults, 2 children), the rooms were not at all spacious. Perhaps, best suited for 2 people only. The reception staff claimed that all the rooms were of same size.
B) Laundry- Towels Not fresh and crisp dry.
C) One way airport transfer, though included in website booking, is not provided by the hotel. Had to coordinate between Hotels. Com and IBIS and still waiting for taxi reimbursement from the Hotels. Com.
Pros- Location, good, ambiance, upkeep, staff.
All in all, a disappointing stay due small bed and room size. Such big names should refrain from misleading customers.
Their 2 TWIN bed is not 2 Double bed which cannot accommodate 2 adults and 2 children.
Seriously misleading. Feel cheated.
