KK Royal Hotel & Convention Centre

We booked in at this hotel since we needed a couple of extra rooms when attending a family wedding. Were not impressed with the check-in desk when we came in at night, and the wifi didn't work. But we were happy the room was warm and spacious, and that we could have a warm shower after a long drive. The towels were not of great quality, but Biotique toiletries were a welcome sign. The hotel fixtures were old and needed some repair (the door lock jammed and the frame cracked when trying to push it open). However everything was magically different the next morning, when we parted the curtains and were greeted by a splendid view of Amber palace and and a window seat to take in this scene. The desk called to remind us that breakfast was till 10:30. The buffet was not remarkable, but wholesome enough, and the servers were very helpful, as was the rest of the staff. Amber palace is walkable distance and the hotel is very well located in that respect. The parking lot was safe and clean. The hotel is undergoing renovation, and I would overall recommend this hotel over so-called "palaces" that are remote, costlier, and often cold and uncomfortable.

The front desk staff wasn't friendly.

Only negative was the speed of wifi. Everything else was really good. Room service can get some improvement.

The hotel, set in large grounds is only minutes from the Amber Fort. The staff we're very helpful.

KK Royal is a decent hotel offering value for money. It is located in the city of Amer which though now part of Jaipur was historically a different city and is thus about 10-12 kms away from proper Jaipur city. This offers advantages (because you are close to the Amer fort & in a very serene locality) as well as some down-sides (getting to the city can take time and you need to arrange transportation in advance). The hotel staff is helpful, the hotel facilities are good & clean. All in all a good hotel for a holiday.
