MAYFAIR Waves

This property is certainly at par with any of Mayfair property or services. Even food options were limited, Even during the permitted time buffet was removed. The place was majorly booked for marriage and the entire lawn and swimming pool area was used for the same not available for other residents to use. Mayfair should not be taking booking when they have marriage happening at their premises or atleast must disclose this before accepting booking.

Wonderful: 10 out of 10

We booked 2 nights with 5 persons including a toddler. One of the room that was given to us was room no -1105. This room when you entered in wasn’t value for money. They mentioned it was a king bed but that was a queen bed compared to the other room. One side of the bed was broken was which they took that part out and put it in that room only. The queen bed wasn’t good enough for 2 adults and one toddler. The bath-tub in the shower was completely crack and I feel so disgusted by looking at that. We didn’t use the tub though. The couch they have inside the room I feel like they just cleaned it from the visible areas. We found lots of dusts and foods from the couch. By looking at the inside of the room we felt like we made a wrong decision. Food was super good. In house service was upto the mark.

The staff are money grabbing in the sense that my wife was not feeling and so for breakfast she asked for tea and porridge a la carte...the staff charged for the full buffett...and the front reception staff would not adjust the difference...so 900 rupees fior one biwl of porridge and tea.

The staffs and their services were very good. But there is a need to upgrade the furniture and linens. They are old and dull, not compatible with the high price of accommodation.

Pluses of our stay were -- the rooms are very spacious and well maintained, housekeeping was good. Ambience is very good and the staff are very polite. Cons was the quality of service in the Samudra restaurant. The staff seem rather new and green. They were not as efficient and prompt as I have experienced in other hotels belonging to the same category. We ordered some biryani for lunch and I could see the food arrived and sat on the counter for almost 10 minutes before it was brought to the table. At breakfast the staff seemed to get confused and would confirm orders multiple times. I asked for filter coffee and was told that it is available, waited for 10 mins and then when I asked again was told that it was not available!! Someone could have easily come and told me it wasn't there and I would have asked for something else. Also except for the chicken biryani, the rest of the food, especially the breakfast spread was rather mediocre, especially if one compares it to the Mayfair Bhubaneswar food which is excellent. Also I was disappointed with our room. I had booked 2 months in advance and had asked for a beach view room. What they gave us had a beach view from one part of the balcony only. When I asked for a full beach view room they said that they were fully booked. I wish they had said that when I booked and I would have relooked at my dates for stay. So overall a rather mixed experience - mostly pleasant, relaxing, but the hotel really needs to up its food.

Welcoming staff. Lovely hotel with spacious room over the pool facing Sea. Two comfy single beds. Complimentary delicious tea packs,snacks, water & toiletries. Appreciated hot water, large bathroom & large balcony. A rack to hang hand laundry. Delicious buffet Indian/western breakfast. Fantastic delicious, variety of Indian food & desserts. Appreciated Americano coffee. Nice pool with afternoon tea & treats by poolside. Room needed fumigation-small ant like critters around bathroom sink, counter & taps. Saw cockroach on floor, morning we left. Informed staff upon checking out. Did see staff fumigating other rooms. Loved my morning beach walk along the water. Recommend.

A perfect place to stay in Puri to enjoy good coffee on the beach...hospitality; friendliness; responsiveness of the staff and sumptuous food...

Although the size of property is not like Goa resorts but rooms and service is very good. The staff is very friendly and customer focused. The beach is not private but outside crowd is not nuisance.

Reception staff is ok. Management very bad.wi-fi did not work the whole time I stayed. Complained several times with no results. I was traveling from US and with out a local cellular data service Wi-Fi is a must

I booked this hotel for my parents. They were visiting for 3 nights however this hotel was available for only 2 but still we went ahead. They loved the hotel and were not happy to go to another one after their 2 night stay. Breakfast was awesome too.

We stayed there for four nights from 05 Feb 15 to 09 Feb 15. We enjoyed the hospitality and the facilities provided by the hotel. Keep it up.
