Svenska Design Hotel, Bangalore

I would not book this hotel again and will not recommend to my friends. They did not mention that they are painting the walls on my floor and the smell was coming inside the room. The housekeeping disturbs you even after saying u dont want to anything cleaned that day. They have checked my room without my permission when i was in office to check the Fridge.

VERY UNHYGIENIC AND NOT CLEAN. SO MANY MOSQUITOS AROUND FOOD AREA AND INFACT THE ENTIRE PROPERTY.

No face tissues, no proper cleaning, water was not flowing out and telephones not working. Not just my room changed two rooms and both are same and no proper bathroom supplies and no proper cloth ironing basement so dirty

No proper facilities. Service is worst.

Expedia this is pathetic. I called and discussed about this and you said you will Compensate or move me to another place for the inconvenience Case number S#116745737. But nobody called from you later and I have to adjust at the same place with out proper sleep.

It was ok hotel

Dust everywhere in the room. Stained bathrooms. Poor condition of furnitures. Non existing wifi. Overall, I had terrible experience.

Firstly location is great, price is quite low compare to neighbouring hotels. The hotel does look stylish, but it is very old and needs repair, especially in the room. I stayed 7 nights, lots of things are broken like the toilet seat lid, the in room safe, acceptable due to the low price of the hotel. The room was kept quite clean, I had a great nights sleep on the comfy large bed. The Cable TV didn’t have any English channels as they needed to recharge the account. I complained and I got 1 English movie channel. The lobby restaurant was quite nice and served nice food. The buffet dinner was very filling and nice. Waiting staff were great and friendly. However waiting for a drink can take ages which is the same as the roof terrace bar. I ordered a mocktail and got a cocktail. There is no basement restaurant. It is only for functions. There is a KFC next to the hotel if you fancy something different or you can try the bar and restaurant at the lemon tree which is 3 doors away. The hotel room, needs a fire evacuation diagram behind the door. First time I’ve seen a hotel room without a fire evacuation map.

Terrible. dirty run down hotel not like the pictures. They didn't give fresh linen and tried to keep the previous customers bed sheets. I made them come and change everything. Generally unclean and nothing like it's description. If it wasn't for paying upfront I would have left that night. Avoid at all costs if you are accustomed to European cleanliness.

Frontdesk is not 24/7. Front desk was not able to locate hotels.com booking for 3 hours when we landed at 3 am. Poorly trained staff, keys dont work, wifi is patchy. Please avoid this hotel.

Overall was a good stay. Very silent and comfortable room. The internet connect is very very bad. Very slow and unstable. Wi-Fi worked only in specific spots in the room which was not good for me because I had to work from the room several times. One day the hot water has gone from the room and the Hotel couldn't do anything to help. I had to take a cold shower :). Overall is very good, service is good and Sky Louge has a great view.

The hotel is noway near how it looks in the photograph. The rooms are small and restaurant is nowhere near the standard of 4.5 star hotel

Hotel was all as expected. Not many facilities but everything there was clean and up to spec. Would say the restaurant food was much better than other hotels in neighbourhood and so would stay again

Let's not fret over the traffic, the drivers or the horns. That's just Delhi (or maybe India). But this hotel bills itself as the Best in the vicinity - which makes you wonder if there are any others. Actually, I'm sure it could be worse, and perhaps I'm just a bit grumpy that there was no hot water for the shower, or a shower curtain (so at least the bathroom floors were washed). The toilet was crooked. Bet you never thought about that, did you. The room smelled stale. The floors were grimy (maybe all the construction happening across the street?) And the staff, well there was no shortage of staff and they were very attentive, but English was not their strong suit. So, actually not so bad - but I would never stay there again. I'll stay downtown and take the Metro to my destination next time.

The stay at the hotel was ok...the interior of the basement restaurant was really pathetic...the food served in the buffet was really bad...selection of menu was also poor...
