Varca Palms Beach Resort

this hotel is very average but price wise rather costly. The price range should not exceed 3500 for villa .Its time for a renovation

This hotel has seen better days. It was very scruffy and felt unloved. The staff, although somewhat helpful, were not really available when required. The hotel booked in a party of 100 men for a staff knees up when we were there and each room booked was crammed with 5 men in each. The hotel removed all of the sun mats to use in the rooms for these guests to sleep on. These guests were noisy, got very drunk, were sick everywhere on our terrace and smashed furniture and crockery. It would have been helpful if the hotel had advised us of this. The hotel is very remote and the taxis are expensive from the hotel to take you anywhere. When we were out for a meal one night, someone gained access to our room even though it was locked. They left some of their belongings in our room and my camera went missing. When we reported this to reception they were indifferent and kept saying that we must have left our room open! We didn't and had the key with us at all times. I would not stay here again. The pool was not regularly cleaned and the surrounding area of the pool was broken and scruffy. I would return to Goa but I would never stay at this hotel again.

The extra point for overall rating is solely for the location - right on the beach and a very clean and crowd free beach at that.

The property is good just next to Ramada. However, the rooms and the washrooms were very small and do not make you feel at luxury.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Front office staff - very helpfull. Room is clean & neat. We took a garden resort - nothing much as a garden - but still well laid cotages. Beach is very close & hotel got a nice setup near the beach. We had a tough time for food - there is no basic hygene in thr restaurent. So we ended up eating everyday outside. Another issue is there is no restaurent or shack nearby. So you need a car to support!!!

overall, it was a decent stay.. property is good, has good facilities.. While booking via Hotels.com I has asked for the accommodation for the child (9yrs), and it was discussed and confirmed that the package had included that part. however at the hotel they charged additional for the kid. anyway, overall experience was satisfactory..

I choose this hotel because it's right by the beach and I needed to reschedule my booking which was originally at Holiday Inn and I couldn't get the dates I needed and hence landed up here. The facility here as such is not bad but don't expect anything fancy, it's bare basics but the staff make up for it with a great attitude. Its best to rent a bike for the days your staying as the resort is very secluded and the only other option is the expensive hotel taxi to commute around the area. The food at the resort is average but again the staff go out of their way to accomadate your requests. Pros : Attached Beach Price is very reasonable Cons : Don't expect luxury here.

Its a guest house created by USHA (probably for its emplyees).. Ill maintained.. Average food. uncourteous staff.. not at all neat.. equally average beach.. Not well connected..

Room service 0700hrs to 2300hrs Flat screen Satellite television*** Det var et gammeldags tykt fjernsyn. Babysitter on request Electronic safe ***IKKE i rummene, men gratis i receptionen. Hair dryer***Den fandt vi aldrig! Voltage 110-220 Generelt er hotellet meget nedslidt. I de første to dage brød to brødriste sammen, og blev ikke erstattet eller repareret!

Mycket lugnt ställe.Lite folk på stranden. Ingen shopping och få men trevliga restauranger i närheten. Passade oss utmärkt.Välj bungalow, inte rum i huvudbyggnaden.

Extremely overpriced taxi service makes it not worthwile (you'll pay 20% of your night price for a short ride to the nearest town). Hotel is in a great need of reinvestment: renovation, modernisation, refurbishment etc.

Good value for money. Far from the madding crowds. Right next to a very neat and clean beach. Very good for relaxation. Resort is neat and clean. Hospitality was fair. Has a reasonably priced spa as well although we never tried it. Food is okay...but not the exotic kind.

Location: Resort is on the beautiful Varca beach,which is calm&very peaceful.Moreover you would not find much people over here.The location of the resort is far far away from the main town& if your are a peace lover,this beach is right place for you.The beach is ideally very near to the property and that is main advantage. Room : We stayed in the Superior room. Rooms are too small.We had Double bed which was not quite comfortable and the bed was made of spring. The cot was separate and it was always going apart. Every Superior room Villa is divided in 3 different rooms. So don't make a mistake by assuming that whole place is booked. No Wi-fi as mentioned in the website. Food: Veg food options very limited. Breakfast Buffet was average, but if you order food to your room it was very good but bit costly. Also no other restaurants around the property. Hence you need to spend Rs700-Rs1000 (Taxi) in order to visit a good restaurant in the vicinity. Transportation: Walk to the market nearby and ask local shops and they will tell you where to hire 2 wheelers/ 4 wheelers.(They have petrol too.)Make sure you check the docs of the vehicle&also carry a copy of your driving license .Having a 2 / 4 wheelers transport will enable you to move around at your convenience and its quite cheap and economical. They will charge RS.350 per day as rent for 2 wheelers. Service : Service was good and staffs were very friendly.If we request, it was done immediately.

Leider ist absolut nichts los in diesem Hotel, auch nicht in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Das Dorf Varca ist zu weit entfernt um es zu Fuss zu erreichen. Keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit (zB Wasser) in der Nähe. Alles nur im Hotel zu überhöhten Preisen zu erhalten. Service so weit gut. Zimmer recht sauber. Aber für den Preis kann man in Indien an anderen Orten 4 Nächte im gleichen Standart übernachten.

Отель расположенный на самом берегу моря с хорошим пляжем. Находиться далеко от Варки и других городков, что является одновременно плюсом и минусом. Плюс что на пляже не людно, нет продавцов и нет коров. Минус, что до магазина быстро можно доехать только за такси. А такси дороговато, поскольку оно при отеле с заранее установленными расценками. Завтраки оставляли желать лучшего, но были неплохие яичница и омлет. Обедали и ужинали почти все время в ближайшем шейке у Эди. Вкусно. Вполне предупредительный персонал. Состояние номера было хорошее. Горячая вода без проблем. Жили в домике у бассейна. Итог - замечательный отель для тихого пляжного отдыха.

The service at this hotel from not one, but multiple staff members was incredibly poor. The front desk was confrontational to all of our requests, the hotel did not send us a car to pick us up despite confirming that the would over the phone the day prior, the laundry service took much longer than necessary, the bar kicked us out at 10 PM right after we purchased a round of beers, there is no wi-fi, and I can go on even more. I would not recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel on varca beach is Superb. Hotel rooms are good and are kept clean. Approach road to the hotel is rough. Breakfast spread was good and tasted better. The hotel is absolutely on beach. Varca beach was very clean and beautiful. Hotel needs to look after the upkeep of the hotel in general. Also there is no facility for freshning up for driver!! All in all it was a very good experience. We will recommend this hotel to others.
