Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort

Hotel was nice and cozy. Staffs were smiling and polite and seemed responsive to your request at a very low speed. First night was so noisy, window shaking from EDM party that they said it was from neighbor hotel.. got it done 3 hours after compliant at 1am. I wrote email first for specific request and they did reply email, but nothing was prepared. It seemed to me like many of the staffs were just saying ‘yes’ with the ‘whatever dude’ attitude. Room service took too much time for simple request like towel or tea. Breakfast was nice and fun. There’re many categories to choose from. I loved the juice station where you can create your recipe. But again, -2 for staff for shoving hot coffee over my head without signal. Cleanliness is so so. They should change rubbish bin in the toilet though. Check out process took about 40 minutes so prepare your time.

Hotel was comfortable with great service and comfortable beds. Very comparable to much cheaper hotels in the same area so I did not feel as though we got value for money.

Bathroom is supposed to have a door!! Outdated room!

We booked this Hotel a year ago as part of my wifes Birthday present, had to change rooms 5 times because of issues with Damp/Dark conditions , finally the DUTY Manager stepped in otherwise i was flying us back to Singapore

I enjoyed my stay at the property. The Room and lounge experience was exceptional. My only gripe was with the beach restaurant being really expensive for what it provided and the Italian restaurant not being open for lunch.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this beach hotel. While the staff were genuinely kind and the rooms, though small, were clean and comfortable, there are some major downsides. First, it’s a constant struggle to find any shade by the pool — the hotel simply hasn’t provided enough shaded areas, loungers with umbrellas, or trees. On the beach, it’s even worse. The hotel next door had the foresight to plant trees along the beach, creating natural shade, but this hotel didn’t bother. You’re left exposed under the harsh sun unless you bring your own shade (which isn’t practical). Another disappointment was the drinking water policy: they only provide four small bottles of water per day, which is definitely not enough for two adults, especially when you’re under the hot sun all day. For a beach resort, this feels pretty stingy. I really wanted to enjoy this place, but the lack of basic comforts like shade and sufficient water made it a frustrating experience.

We had previously stayed at Sofitel Nusa Dua and had a great experience, which is why we decided to return—this time with a much larger group. Unfortunately, we noticed a noticeable drop in the overall standard compared to our previous visit. While most of the staff were friendly and tried their best, there were moments where communication was difficult due to language barriers. A few incidents were simply inexcusable, leading us to decide that we wouldn’t return in the future. However, just as we were about to write off the entire stay, we had the pleasure of running into Rita, who we remembered from our earlier visits. She completely turned things around for us. Rita is an absolute legend—kind, warm, considerate, and incredibly professional. Her excellent English made communication seamless, and she went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after. Rita is the only reason we are reconsidering coming back. Sofitel is lucky to have her!

The weather might be too humid. Inside of the room was quite humid as well. Full of the smell of mould. The serive was very good otherwise.

We had an amazing experience at Sofitel Bali! The hotel is beautiful, the staff are incredibly kind, and the service is truly world-class. The food and hospitality are nothing short of 7 stars. We travelled with our 1-year-old baby and couldn’t be more grateful for how welcoming and thoughtful the team was. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Highly recommend Sofitel Bali to anyone looking for a luxurious, family-friendly experience. We’ll definitely be back!
