I can't recommend Hotel Signum in Salina highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a warm and welcoming atmosphere that perfectly balances chic luxury with genuine hospitality. The magnificent views and breathtaking landscapes surrounding the hotel are nothing short of stunning; every window feels like a postcard. Our room was beautifully designed—spacious, stylish, and filled with thoughtful details that made our stay feel extra special. The breakfast was delicious, featuring fresh, local ingredients that set a perfect tone for the day. But the dining experience was truly out of this world; each meal was a culinary delight that showcased the best of Sicilian cuisine. A special shoutout to Laura, who was indispensable throughout our stay. She accommodated every request with grace and even organized a surprise for my wife’s birthday, making it a day we will never forget. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring that we felt taken care of from start to finish. Hotel Signum is a rare gem that leaves you wanting to return time and again. It’s a place where luxury meets warmth, and every moment is infused with care. Don’t miss the chance to experience this enchanting hotel!

Skøn beliggenhed og afslappende atmosfære. Man er omgivet af en frodig, farverig og velduftende flora. Værelserne er indrettet i en enkel men tiltalende stil. Der er forholdsvis lydt, men generelt er gæsterne til den stille side, så det generer ikke. Selve hotellet virker en anelse slidt i kanterne og kunne visse steder godt trænge til en kærlig hånd. Personalet er generelt venligt og imødekommende. Personligt, foretrækker jeg den mere uformelle og autentiske sicilianske stil og gæstfrihed fremfor den mere anstrengte snobbede stil, der typisk appelerer mere til italienere, der vælger denne type ophold. Desværre, var vores oplevelse, at nogle tjenere var uopmærksomme, og, især, på gourmetrestauranten manglede præcision og greb om oplevelsen. Man spiser godt, især de mere klassiske sicilianske retter, men prisen er alt for høj i forhold til kvaliteten. Gourmetrestauranten er ok, men, jeg må indrømme, at jeg, som kender af det sicilianske køkken, savnede mere dybde, mere siciliansk passion i retterne og mindre forsøg på at kræse om en international fællesnævner. De burde, på vinkortet især, gå hele vejen med sicilianske vine. Helt ærligt, glem Margaux her. Men, hver sin smag. Jeg kan godt anbefale et ophold på Signum og kunne måske godt overveje at vende tilbage, men jeg ville nok foretrække at prøve andre restauranter, da jeg synes der er for stor ubalance i forhold til pris og kvalitet på maden, upåagtet at restauranten har en Michelin stjerne.

A l’arrivée, accueil assez froid, le personnel n’a pas pris la peine de nous faire visiter toutes les installations de l’hôtel, nous laissant attendre sur une terrasse avec une bouteille d’eau. A la piscine, il est très difficile d’avoir une chaise longue…. Nous obligeant à rester sur une chaise en métal. La vue depuis la terrasse est belle. Globalement, les prix sont très élevés mais surtout le rapport qualité/prix n’y est clairement pas.

Pleasant stay. Easy transfer from port. Room was a touch small as was the TV. food is very good. Service excellent. Perhaps a little more anti mosquito measures like nets on windows and doors would be nice, also some measures at dinner also.

We stayed at Signum for one night. Rooms and reception desk was nice as well as the interior of the hotel. However the service at the dinner and breakfast was non existing and overpriced. Overall disappointed with our stay.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. I highly recommend this hotel. Beautiful hotel, inside, outside, amazing views, and great design. Very good staff. Very good food & cocktails. Amazing reception and service.

Lovely hotel! Beautiful location and atmosphere. Service was great, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the vineyard restaurant and it was delicious!

The hotel is a gem on the island of Salina - first of all it’s an “Albergo Diffuso” ie. each room is in a separate building and each of them create a small village. The building is beautifully integrated with Nature: when walking around you can smell scents from different plants including capers plants. Service was great and amenities well worth the price of the room - special mention to the SPA (we got a free entry pass thanks to the Expedia VIP program!), the rentable electric motorbikes and the salt water pool. Also, it is not mentioned on the profile but the hotel is home to the only Michelin star restaurant of the Aeolian islands (1 Michelin star) - make sure you reserve a table well in advance, it’s a must do experience and it’s very popular across the island. As an area of improvement I would recommend the hotel to work on the guests’ wow effect and stop milking guests at all costs - the bar is uselessly pricey (bar menu prices are super high with no real justification - eg. €7 for a coke) and we were expecting some free refreshments / fruits by the pool available for guests - this is what you expect from such signature gourmet hotels (is it so expensive to offer complimentary water by the pool or fresh sliced fruit?). Overall a great property with few major areas of improvement that can be easily fixed by management. The best in Salina!

Er loved it all

E' stato una bella esperienza, la struttura è molto bella e elegante, qualche problema c'è stato come presa scart TV non funzionante e poi riparato, frigorifero staccato, cassaforte non funzionante elettronicamente (risolto il problema con la chiave). Il costo della colazione è davvero eccessivo per quello che si offre. Personale eccezionale

Un’isola felice su un’isola felice.

This is a fantastic restaurant, but the food is where all the focus is. The hotel is no good. The food & restaurant service was incredible, we would eat there again & again without hesitation. I wouldn’t stay in the hotel though. The check in was odd, we weren’t shown around the property at all, just to the room. It was unclear how food and drink services worked when you weren’t fine dining. There was a pool drinks menu but no means of ordering anything on it. It turned out you had to wander around (in swim/beach clothes) until you found someone working in the restaurant. Similarly if you wanted lunch (bistro style food) taking a break from time around the pool you were seated alongside people eating a 7 course tasting menu, very odd. The other main issue was the comfort of the furniture. The pool sun loungers were the most uncomfortable I have ever used & it was the same for the room terrace furniture. It wasn’t possible to relax on it, we had to fashion our own seating area using our room cushions. I expect much more from a hotel that charges me a room rate of £300 a night. The spa is lovely, facilities are very nice. Again the only let down was the service. We asked simply about spa access & what that included, reasonable considering COVID adjustments & we were made to feel like a nuisance. We were told our transfer to the next hotel would be confirmed. It wasn’t confirmed & I was overcharged. Beautiful property & restaurant such a shame about the hotel service

Amazing hotel, luxury environment and beautiful swimming pool with view!

Hotel composé d'un hameau de maisons regroupees, beaucoup de charme,très fleurie mais helas en cette periode post Covid l'hôtel n'était pas près à reouvrir avec un manque evident de personnel: personne pour récupérer des valises, des commandes qui n'arrivent pas, pas de serviettes de piscines, pas de lit fait...etc...ils ont même proposer d'engager ma fille pour le mois d'Aout! Nous compatissons en ces moments de crise sanitaire, mais pour 340 euros la nuit.....cela fait un peu trop.

Un ritorno in un posto che amiamo molto, ma andrebbero curati un po' di più i dettagli per avere l'eccellenza. Illuminazione in bagno assolutamente inadatta a una donna per truccarsi e con presa elettrica troppo lontana dallo specchio per l'uso del rasoio elettrico. Anche le amenities troppo low-profile soprattutto tenendo conto della presenza della Spa in Hotel, telefono in camera non funzionante e erbe selvatiche cresciute nelle fughe tra le mattonelle intorno alla piscina. Insomma, ok il fascino del luogo un po' selvatico ma andrebbe dosato meglio. La cucina stellata, ammirevole ma troppo strana per i nostri gusti, dovrebbe proporre anche piatti più semplici per chi non ha grandi velleità in merito. Anche la colazione è un po' deludente nella varietà della proposta, ma la gentilezza e la carineria di Marilena ti farebbero amare qualsiasi cosa. Il wi-fi non funzionava in nessuna parte della struttura. In terrazza le ragazze sono tutte stupende e Valentina una bravissima Bar Tender molto appassionata al suo lavoro che prepara cocktail meravigliosi. Non avrei messo tavoli di cristallo in una terrazza dove il sole riflette e acceca chi è seduto a godersi un tramonto.
