Top Hotel mit der schönsten Aussicht über Taormina! Eine Oase über der Stadt!

We booked Villa Ducale 9 months in advance and reserved a sea view suite costing over €600 per night for our honeymoon. Two weeks before arrival, we were informed that some rooms had flood damage and that we had already been relocated to another hotel without our consent. The replacement hotel was clearly lower quality. For the same dates, Villa Ducale was around €600+ per night while the relocated hotel was closer to €300. The hotel also felt outdated and disappointing, so we walked to Villa Ducale to complain. After waiting over 30 minutes, we were reassigned to a North Wing room with only a partial coastline view, which still felt underwhelming for a honeymoon stay. Communication was poor throughout. Villa Ducale confirmed by email that our shuttle bookings would transfer automatically, but our pickup from town had not been booked at all. When we called, staff insisted we never reserved it and became defensive instead of apologizing, even after we showed the confirmation email. One staff member was especially rude and dismissive during this interaction, which made the experience even more frustrating. Breakfast was also disappointing compared to other 4–5 star hotels we stayed at in Italy, with extra charges for most à la carte items and very limited included options. The views, pool, room condition, and cleanliness were excellent. However, the relocation handling, communication, and customer service were disappointing for a hotel at this price point.

Staff were lovely and amazing view from the hotel but hotel is dated, construction nearby, and while breakfast was good, food in the restaurant not great.

It has great views and staffs very polite room clean as well. But no amenities and only give out one bottle water upon arrival just ridiculous for me . One bottle water they charge 4.5 euros!

Everything was perfect. The room, the breakfast, the staff, the shuttle downtown, the view, the location. It was perfect.

Brilliant hotel, definitely worth its money. The staff is super friendly, the breakfast amazing and the breakfast outstanding.

You cannot beat the view from this hotel of mount etna, the coast and Taormina from above - it was outstanding. You saw this from the restaurant, the infinity pool and also our room. It does mean you are above the town which requires a walk down a fair number of steps into town (and back up) or use of the free hourly hotel shuttle, but the walk is also beautiful and was very doable in October’s mild weather. It also means you are aware from the crowds in a very quiet area. The hotel felt warm and homely and the service was excellent. We loved having a cocktail in the cosy lounge in the evening whilst relaxing on the sofas. Rooms were comfortable with a choice of pillows. Air con was on the noisy side but wasn’t essential for us in Autumn. Parking was very easy on the street outside of the hotel and free. Overall, it was on the pricey side but worth paying a bit more for getting to stay somewhere quite special.

O hotel tem uma vista linda, com uma piscina excelente. O restaurante também é muito bom, assim como o café da manhã. A equipe da recepção é muito eficiente, estão todos de parabéns. Acho que o hotel só peça um pouco na limpeza e no conforto do quarto. Nesses pontos entendo que deixou a desejar, especialmente se considerado o valor pago pela diária.

It’s difficult to convey how much this hotel exceeded our expectations. We booked last minute without much in formation about the hotel. The photographs online were mixed. But when we were shown our suite, we were blown away. It was completely brand new. The bed was the comfiest bed we’d ever slept in. The view is the best view from a bed we’ve ever had. The furnishings and products are amazing. Next we explored the pool area. There is an absolutely stunning infinite pool overlooking the sea. Finally, the staff…they were all incredibly helpful, charming, and lovely. We spent the last day of a ten day trip here, and it really made leaving for raining England even harder. Thank you for a wonderful stay. P.s. There is also a free shuttle bus to the town and we were allowed ti enjoy the pool for a whole day after our morning check out.

Great views and excellent service meant we had a really pleasant stay. You are treated like family which is lovely, Breakfast was a good already and the evening restaurant is super with views to match. A shuttle service into the town was a bonus and used everyday.

This place was magical. We had booked another place and was extremely disappointing. We took the plunge to move places and Ducale came through in the min and nothing but a complete dream. The staff was super welcoming and helpful. The place is beautiful overlooking the sea away from the riff raff. Food was great, bedroom and amenities were all amazing. I wish we had more nights with them.

Overall the hotel was fine The food however was disappointinly average at best and needs to be improved .
