Roof top bar and location are good. Many trip hazards on rooftop. Poor maintenance plus lift was not working so many stairs to climb

The hotel is beautiful and is in an amazing location. And the rooftop bar is especially nice. And the hotel staff was just incredible. Our airline lost our luggage and we had difficulty tracking down our bags for several days. We were on a multi-city vacation and the staff at Mecenate Palace Hotel assisted in communicating with and tracking our luggage. We truly appreciate their professionalism, kindness, and assistance.

Felt very comfortable as solo traveler, The roof top restaurant was very beautiful so glad I included breakfast!

Efter att ha gått en hel dag i ett mycket varmt Rom var det otroligt härligt att komma till hotellet med en väldigt trevlig, servicevänlig personal och till ett svalt, rent och fräscht rum. Frukosten var också väldigt bra färsk frukt m.m. och i en trevlig miljö och med utsikt Kommer gärna tillbaka, mycket prisvärt hotell.

Overall the hotel is in a good location but is quite run down in the rooms. Old furniture and generally looks in disrepair. We asked to use an iron as none in the room but were told it’s a safety hazard for guests to use. A bit annoying after long flight and wanting to iron something to wear out. Elevator wasn’t working so had to use staff elevators. Couldn’t control the air conditioning and it was during a heatwave.

Very helpful staff, very clean, cozy and welcoming. The location is also amazing and has lots of restaurants and stores around. Highly recommend Mecenate Palace!

It was a great hotel, the only problem was 2 nights we didnt have AC, but eventually they managed to fix it, besides that it was great

We came to Mecenate Palace early on a hot day. I had requested early check in previously via email but they said it depends on availability so I didn’t have high hopes but oh boy were they kind! They let us check in way early which was great since we were so hot and tired from travel there. The building is a bit older with odd but useful things like a phone in the bathroom, an emergency ringer in the shower and doorbells as well as the usual room safe, mini fridge, supplies for tea and instant coffee with real ceramic tea cups and saucers and glasses for water as well as more in the bathroom. There is a bidet and a handheld as well as wall shower in the bathtub. The room are appointed with marble counter tops and floors. There is a bottle opener in the mini fridge and teaspoons on the teacups. Location is great. Across the street from a grocery store and convenient to the train station. The rooftop restaurant has a breakfast room and also a rooftop bar with fantastic views.

Disappointing service and unreliable Wi-Fi. The check-in experience was pleasant — the receptionist who welcomed us was warm and professional. Unfortunately, the rest of the stay didn't match. A different receptionist later told us food wasn't allowed in the rooms (fine, though staff had approved it earlier that same day) and, when I politely asked why, told me I needed to "respect" the place and because she "says so" — in a condescending tone that was completely uncalled for. The in-room Wi-Fi then stopped working entirely. When I called reception, the same staff member was dismissive and practically hung up on me. The person sent to help turned off my phone's airplane mode, connected to my personal mobile data, loaded a page on my own cellular network after several tries, declared the Wi-Fi "fixed," and left. The hotel Wi-Fi remained poor throughout the stay — a real problem for international travellers who depend on it. The location and initial welcome were nice, but the staff attitude and Wi-Fi issues left a bad taste. I'd expect much better communication and problem-solving from a hotel of this standard.

The location of this hotel was perfect. We stayed there once before, however this time. The room that we stayed at was very rundown with holes in the carpet. . Mould in the bathroom shower. Our breakfast was included, which we paid for, but there was no orange juice no choices of any eggs very poor skimpy food, lots of cookies and cakes I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I complained regarding the breakfast unfortunately they couldn’t do anything because the centre new management

Authenticity, location, staff, vibe

O hotel é lindo, com uma decoração bem clássica, a localização é muito boa e silenciosa. Os funcionários são sempre muito gentis e prestativos, o rooftop é um charme e possui uma vista de tirar o fôlego ao anoitecer. Tudo estava impecável, certamente voltarei a me hospedar quando estiver em Roma.

Muy cerca de la estación de tren, buen punto para llegar al Coliseo caminando. Buen desayuno
