Rent och fint, välvårdat hotell trots gissningsvis några år på nacken. Fin utsikt, fin trädgård, mkt lyhört och i princip endast ljust bröd och kakor på frukosten (fanns söt yoghurt och söta flingor också). Vi hade barn med oss, men de kändes ärligt talat som de ”var i vägen”

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis inakzeptabel. Das Hotel war der letzte Aufenthalt nach längerer Tour über die Insel. Das mit Abstand schlechteste Hotel der Reise! Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren super freundlich. Das war es aber auch schon. Ausstattung und Ambiente seit den 80er Jahren nicht modernisiert oder renoviert. Zimmer wurden jeden Tag gereinigt - auch die Handtücher gewechselt - der Umweltgedanke kam hier noch nicht an! Der abartige und sehr penetrante Zitronenduft in den Zimmern ist kaum auszuhalten! Das Frühstück war unappetitlich angerichtet und der „Kaffee“, wenn man das Gesöff in Italien überhaupt so nennen darf, kam aus einer Instant- Maschine, furchtbar. Der sogenannte Spa-Bereich (kleiner indoor-Pool und eine alte kleine Sauna) kostet 12€ p. P. und Tag extra. Der Außenpool ist ab dem frühen Nachmittag im Schatten. Die Liegen am privaten Strand kosten ebenfalls zusätzlich 15€ proTag, möchte man sich ein Handtuch zum Strand mitnehmen, kostet es ebenfalls pro Handtuch und Tag 1€. Die Frage nach dem Late-checkout hat dann den Eindruck komplett abgerundet, hier wären für 3h späteres Auschecken in der Nebensaison (Oktober!) weitere 70€ fällig gewesen! Während unseres Aufenthaltes war das Hotel voll mit englischen und amerikanischen Rentnern wohl über eine Reisegesellschaft, das passte zum Ambiente. Zusammenfassend ist zu sagen, wir würden dieses Hotel weder empfehlen noch jemals wieder hier her kommen.

The common areas and photographed sections of the hotel were very beautiful however the rooms were very basic and in need of some TLC. The service around the bar area was very poor with guests obviously inconveniencing the staff. We found some elements of the staff attitude strange. I phoned to ask for additional pillows and was just told no. We were told we were not allowed to park in front of the hotel despite other cars being there and a car parked for the duration on the space we had been asked to be vacate. We felt we just hadn’t been a premium enough customer. The location is ok if you are prepared to walk some way to reach key areas. The breakfast was very poor with very few options. The dining room is quite stuffy and looks like it’s set up for events more than guests. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the area and we found the hotel manageable however spent most of our time away from the facility.

The staff and general ambience of the hotel was very nice but we were disappointed with the Shower and in room facilities. No coffee or tea and limited water. Shower definitely

The staff here were so friendly. The beach was beautiful and plenty of dining options and shopping within walking distance.

A great hotel with very friendly staff with the added bonus of a view of Etna from our balcony for my volcano obsessed son. Good food throughout the day and a decent pool. Beds were quite hard, which I thought would be a problem, but slept very well. Would recommend.

It was a very beautiful classic hotel with great service. It’s located a bit away from the center but it’s still no problem.

The beds were terribly uncomfortable, the mattresses and pillows were thin. The air conditioning turned when you left the room and took a long time to cool down. Room had a terrible strong citrus cleaner smell. The shower was tiny. The pool was the best selling feature!

Hotel heeft wel iets charmants maar hier en daar dringt een opfrisbeurt zich op. Spijtig genoeg kan je in de kamers goed horen wat er boven en naast je gebeurd. Ontbijt en diner waren oké maar verwacht hier geen verfijnde keuken. Personeel vriendelijk.

Gammalt Hotel, skicket var som väntat. Vi bokade för spa och inomhus pool då vädret var sådär. Bra bad och utmärkt massage på Spat.

Short walk to the beach, lots of hotels in the area. Extra charged for parking, pool towels and spa access. Amazing breakfast!

Overall the four night stay was pleasant with clean bedrooms but it was a bit outdated. The hotel indoor pool is overpriced and extras are expensive (cost for towels, spa, beach etc.) Hotel Room - Decent sized room and plenty of wardrobe space for the stay. A good balcony but the toilet didn’t have a window. Unfortunately the room didn’t have a kettle with tea and coffee. There is no iron available at the hotel which is a shame. Food - Breakfast buffet had lots of sweet and savoury options which were topped up regularly. Plenty of table space and reserved the table for the whole stay. Dinner set menu options made ordering easy and had a wide range of wine choices as well. Pool facilities - The outdoor pool was clean, had outdoor toilets and plenty of sun loungers for the group. The deep end of pool is 3.4m and shallow end 1.2m, not suitable for children. Atmosphere - I would not recommend young people stay at the hotel as it’s quiet and the town doesn’t have much to do either. It’s a very busy hotel but mainly retirement age people staying there on a package holiday. There were two weddings during the stay which the hotel could have explained during check in as there was loud music until 1am. Location - The hotel is close to other bars and restaurants which is great for lunchtime options. The beach is nearby, a supermarket is nearby and there’s a few shops within 10 min walk as well. The hotel is secure and has lots of gates as well as a safe in each hotel room.

The beds are terrible, at least in the room we stayed in. Very poor sound insulation, especially through the door. Nice swimming pool and beach
