Room was clean and the staff was nice. Excellent views.

Very clean, peaceful and relaxing with a stunning mountain view day and night. Staff was amazing, food excellent all day. Definitely going back to experience this heavenly place.

Sadly our check in experience was not good a very sullen wanted to charge us fir taxes which I had already pre paid and should her the email to prove .. she then took as to the furthest room 75 steps down wet wooden steps the hotel was not full ! Breakfast was dreadful 2 small pieces unripe pineapple and a dried up old orange … no espresso as machine broken !but the hotel as a great vibe with lovely photos of pop stars who have stayed there … one lovely waitress .. amazing views but I feel the love has gone out of this hotel ! Infact when leaving in taxi they would not open the gate as aid we owed for a water which we had paid for ! Great location views and vibe .

This hotel was just sold, and the service was HORRIBLE. The towels had holes, the service was slow, I wanted an upgrade and although the hotel was almost empty, they wanted to charge me $400 for a room upgrade, so I went online and bought a second room for $336. All the staff were on their cell phones the entire time. The room was not cleaned until 3pm and I had to call to get it done. The person in the reception area told me to get the soda bottles out of the trash and empty the liquid first...she said this to the guest!! We left at 5am and we were told security would help us with the luggage up SIX flights of steps, and they were sleeping when we left and we had to do it ourselves. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! ONE STAR

Spectacular views all around. Comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff, excellent bar, a good place to rest and recharge. As others have commented, the food is good, not great. Recommend staying here.

The views from the your room is spectacular and the room itself is great , the restaurant is ok but severely overpriced and the menu needs a over haul , theres only one vegetaraib optio

What a wonderful resort! Being there in person and experiencing the location and accommodation exceeded all of our expectations. Just the view alone overlooking the city of Kingston or sunset or the mountains or the grounds and its lush gardens is very memorable and impressive. The staff is wonderful and made sure that all of our needs were met. The restaurant is outstanding and we were a party of seven that truly enjoyed all of our meals. Even though our stay was short we would definitely return and spend more time in having another Strawberry experience.

Amazing retreat in the mountains, with excellent rooms, excellent views, excellent service. Only slight knock would be on amenities, as it is a remote location, on site amenities were all the more important, and while not inadequate for a short stay, the restaurant menu was the same each day and got old by day two for those on a more constrained diet (though the kitchen was fully accommodating with special requests) and other on site facilities would have been nice (the shop barely had enough items to fill a single shelf). Not big in the context of our two day stays given the brilliant service and stunning views. For those driving themselves, be advised the roads up can be very steep and a little precarious. Would certainly book again.

My only hiccup was calling to confirm my reservation on the day before travelling up the hill - the first staff member was unable to confirm my reservation on the first attempt after I provided name but after calling the central office I was called back and informed that I was actually confirmed but was initially told I wasn't due to me saying I booked a suite vs a cottage, providing my name or confirmation number was not sufficient it seems. Upon arrival, everything about the property was excellent - great food, environment and service.

Such a beautiful place and amazing setting. Watching hummingbirds feeding was an extra bonus! Would highly recommend!

Staying here felt like a dreamy escape into nature. It was as if we were sleeping among the treetops! The lush surroundings and panoramic views over Kingston were absolutely breathtaking. The rooms were full of charm, evoking that classic, old-school Jamaican vibe that made the experience feel authentic and cozy. Service was attentive and warm, and the food? Simply delicious! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay in Jamaica. My photos does not do it justice! Important Note on the Drive to the Property The road leading to the property is quite narrow and can feel a bit intimidating, especially if you’re not an experienced driver. Since the location is high up in the mountains, expect steep climbs, winding hills, and stretches without guardrails. Use caution, take your time, and be prepared for a scenic—but challenging—drive.

The property is gorgeous, staff is very friendly and amenities are top tier. The only reason I didn’t rate 5 is due to the experience I had with the transfer service offered by the hotel. Not only was the driver very fast going up hill and no where in communications with the hotel was the cost of the transfer mentioned. Go for the spa & restaurant but arrange your own transportation.

A true paradise. Great for disconnecting and recharging. The staff is lovely and responsive. Highly recommend.
