We had a great time at Souk San Sunset Bungalows. The views from the balcony is just amazing! During the day you can see the local people in their longtail boats going up and down the river and the sunsets from the balcony are some of the best we've seen during our travels in SEA. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have all sorts of activities you can book, from renting bicycles to half day tours on a boat to full day adventure tours. We rented bicycles for 1 day and cycled around the 2 connected islands exploring one of the famous waterfalls and plenty of villages and viewpoints along the way. The other day we booked a tour to the famous big waterfall which we highly recommend. They organised a boat and tuktuk to take us there and even added in the option to stop at an ATM in town on the mainland. Excellent service! The room itself was pretty large and very clean on the inside. There were some spiderwebs outside on the balcony but those are hard to avoid in this environment. Showers with hot water were great. They also provide free drinking water and filtered water stations to fill up your own bottle if you brought one. The restaurant is currently closed unfortunately but they do sell drinks on the premises. Lots of great restaurants are nearby though so you don't have to walk far to find breakfast, lunch or dinner. We highly recommend staying here in Don Det and we'll definitely book here again when we come back :).
