A secluded quiet hotel directly at the riverside. Ideal for relaxing. With a wonderful garden and a gorgeous view of the Mekong river. With a little personnel effort the hotel could praise easily 5 stars.

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel - we checked out two days early. It is at best a 3 star hotel. Only stay if you get a cheap deal and don’t expect 5 star service or standards. The WiFi doesn’t work we had to use 5G We had to wake up the bar server twice, the first time Christmas songs were played (in March!!) and the second time it was silent and had absolutely no atmosphere. We paid extra for a riverside view to watch sunset, don’t bother - hoards to boats arrive outside the hotel and play Chinese karaoke, loudly - it certainly doesn’t make for a peaceful or romantic setting - I appreciate there is nothing the hotel can do about this. The rooms are very tired. Our flights flickered significantly when we turned on the water. They are also not that clean, there was significant dust on the headboard. There is construction work going on around the hotel that we were not told about upon booking. The pool is rented out to anyone for $6 inc beers, we didn’t use this but again doesn’t fit with an exclusive 5star feel. The speciality dining restaurant is shut. Staff service is haphazard, we had to have an argument with the ma on the gate who refused to let our taxi into the hotel and made us walk - again all very minor but not 5 star. We tried to check out quietly but was greeted by the Operations manager who wanted my feedback, which I provided, he agreed the hotel was not up to standard and agreed to email me, not unsurprisingly I haven’t received an email.

A spectucular location with great views from the east bank of the Mekong River of the broad river, boats on it, and the surrounding karst mountains in the near distance beyond. Peaceful and beautifully maintained acres of landscaped gardens. Historic home of former revered Lao Prince. Good AC, wifi, shower or tub bath. Pool was wonderful with very nice chaise lounges and umbrellas but only about 8 of them, not enough if there are many people using it. Very good food options, both western and Southeast Asian. Some issues with food needing to be brough on trays from seperate kitchen, some dishes arrived only warm. Lovely decor. Cable TV is not all that good, less than strong signal, only a few channels in English. Free shuttle service seven times a day into LP city 2.5 miles away. Friendly service, Stephen the operations manager very helpful and speaks good English. Limited English from the friendly staff. Well managed and clean.

My family loved our stay here. The staff were very helpful with every one of my requests. The views of the Mekong were unbeatable; watching the river cruises at night was stunning from the bar/restaurant; saying that, I think the bar/restaurant could have used another server. I really enjoyed the water buffaloes on staff :) greeting us on the way to breakfast, nice touch. Shuttles to the city were convenient. Gym was decent, and the spa massages were very good. The pool could use an update. Overall, excellent and relaxing stay. We enjoyed being a little way from the city.

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel - we checked out two days early. It is at best a 3 star hotel. Only stay if you get a cheap deal and don’t expect 5 star service or standards. The WiFi doesn’t work we had to use 5G We had to wake up the bar server twice, the first time Christmas songs were played (in March!!) and the second time it was silent and had absolutely no atmosphere. We paid extra for a riverside view to watch sunset, don’t bother - hoards to boats arrive outside the hotel and play Chinese karaoke, loudly - it certainly doesn’t make for a peaceful or romantic setting - I appreciate there is nothing the hotel can do about this. The rooms are very tired. Our flights flickered significantly when we turned on the water. They are also not that clean, there was significant dust on the headboard. There is construction work going on around the hotel that we were not told about upon booking. The pool is rented out to anyone for $6 inc beers, we didn’t use this but again doesn’t fit with an exclusive 5star feel. The speciality dining restaurant is shut.
