I am writing to formally lodge a bad experience regarding my recent stay in a suite (#1820) at Amari Johor Bahru from 9–11 August.
We are not aware of any exclusive perks that we could have enjoyed., After check-in, it was only when I called the hotel staff to check if breakfast was included, that we knew this entitlement. There was no mention whatsoever of the other suite privileges. We only learned about these additional benefits at check-out, after we gave feedback that the Level 20 breakfast was very limited.
Because of this lapse in communication, we were denied the opportunity to enjoy the full benefits that we paid for. The suite rate we booked was significantly higher than standard rooms precisely because of these added privileges. Not being informed of them from the start is not only unfair but also represents a clear failure to deliver the experience.
No response even as we emailed them since 11/8.

There are only 3 lifts but they work very efficiently. I stayed at 19th floor but didn't have to wait long every time I press for the lift.
The staff are courteous, and breakfast is excellent. On the whole, an excellent experience at Amari.

Staff are all friendly and helpful. Soundproofing of rooms can be better, especially those with adjoining doors. Was woken up by neighbour talking and laughing loudly in the middle of thr night through the adjoining door area.

Our room was spacious and clean with daily housekeeping option. Breakfast buffet had many variety of choices (local & western style) and a live station for eggs option. Cold and hot drinks were available, included teh tarik. Walking distance to Komtar and City Square, very convenient. Games room was well maintained.

I booked Amari JB with great expectation as I had a great experience staying at Amari Penang for many times. Unfortunately, it wasnt a pleasant stay. As we checked in, I went for a shower, and only shampoo is around, no body shampoo. I called the operator, and I need to repeat 3 times on what is missing, and thats the first unpleasant encounter. Next is bath robe that is super dirty and stained as the attached picture. This is definitely something the hotel didnt manage well, how could such dirty bath robe ended in a so called newly cleaned room. When i went to the reception to highlight the issue, i was told that it will be informed to the manager and wanted to send a new robe to my room. I request to prepare at the reception and I'll pick them up when i come back. The service recovery wasnt done at all, i dont feel the staff genuinely know the serious of this hygience complaint, and just change the robe withtou further handling of the issue, and I guess this is how the so called manager handles it. I'm not happy with it. When i go back to take the replacement robe, there is another staff at the counter and when I mentioend my room, he was like so blur and not sure why im there for.. this is another lousy internal communication by the staff, showing that the hotel is not handlign this seriously. I'll consider if i want to book and stay at JB Amari again.

the breakfast was amazingggggg!!! So many options and it was the highlight of the stay.
It was quite convienent. The rooms don't really reflect a 5 star hotel. The rooms were made up quite late in the afternoon. The Aircon reflected 25 degrees but it felt more like 20.

Toiletries not provided. Had to use hand bar soap as I had already stepped into the shower.
Room 2015 air conditioning fan a little noisy.

Coming back for the fifth time says a lot. Our regular haunt, which never fails to disappoint. Check in was seamless, and we were surprised to be allocated the highest floor of our stays so far.
Upon check in, the room was clean and tidy. We were presented with complimentary amenities which was another pleasant surprise.
Only gripe we had was some minor defects which did not affect the condition of our stay whatsoever. Looking forward to be back!

Disappointing stay at the heart of JB. Shower head were mouldly at both rooms, and the toilets were dirty. Cleanliness standards seriously need improvement. Poor housekeeping. And the check-in was very late; the rooms were ready after 5:30pm or so.

I am writing to formally lodge a bad experience regarding my recent stay in a suite (#1820) at Amari Johor Bahru from 9–11 August.
We are not aware of any exclusive perks that we could have enjoyed., After check-in, it was only when I called the hotel staff to check if breakfast was included, that we knew this entitlement. There was no mention whatsoever of the other suite privileges. We only learned about these additional benefits at check-out, after we gave feedback that the Level 20 breakfast was very limited.
Because of this lapse in communication, we were denied the opportunity to enjoy the full benefits that we paid for. The suite rate we booked was significantly higher than standard rooms precisely because of these added privileges. Not being informed of them from the start is not only unfair but also represents a clear failure to deliver the experience.
No response even as we emailed them since 11/8.

Our first time staying at Amari JB! It was a pleasant stay, surprised by the huge room and super comfy bed!
Just opposite Komtar mall & easy access to nearby Brunch place (western or local breakfast) both available.
Would love to stay here again

There are only 3 lifts but they work very efficiently. I stayed at 19th floor but didn't have to wait long every time I press for the lift.
The staff are courteous, and breakfast is excellent. On the whole, an excellent experience at Amari.

Staff are all friendly and helpful. Soundproofing of rooms can be better, especially those with adjoining doors. Was woken up by neighbour talking and laughing loudly in the middle of thr night through the adjoining door area.

Our room was spacious and clean with daily housekeeping option. Breakfast buffet had many variety of choices (local & western style) and a live station for eggs option. Cold and hot drinks were available, included teh tarik. Walking distance to Komtar and City Square, very convenient. Games room was well maintained.

I booked Amari JB with great expectation as I had a great experience staying at Amari Penang for many times. Unfortunately, it wasnt a pleasant stay. As we checked in, I went for a shower, and only shampoo is around, no body shampoo. I called the operator, and I need to repeat 3 times on what is missing, and thats the first unpleasant encounter. Next is bath robe that is super dirty and stained as the attached picture. This is definitely something the hotel didnt manage well, how could such dirty bath robe ended in a so called newly cleaned room. When i went to the reception to highlight the issue, i was told that it will be informed to the manager and wanted to send a new robe to my room. I request to prepare at the reception and I'll pick them up when i come back. The service recovery wasnt done at all, i dont feel the staff genuinely know the serious of this hygience complaint, and just change the robe withtou further handling of the issue, and I guess this is how the so called manager handles it. I'm not happy with it. When i go back to take the replacement robe, there is another staff at the counter and when I mentioend my room, he was like so blur and not sure why im there for.. this is another lousy internal communication by the staff, showing that the hotel is not handlign this seriously. I'll consider if i want to book and stay at JB Amari again.

Called for a cot, wine glasses.. both took super long to come. In the event that they came, it was at least an hour.. other than that. Good stay, nice food options. Will contemplate coming back again.
