元々ホテルとして建てられた建物ではないので少し不便です。 コンセントはユニバーサルではないですし、防音性もありません。もちろんエレベーターなんてありませんが、頼めば荷物は運んでくれます。 なんならわたしが泊まった部屋、最初の丸一日何故かエアコンがついてるのに涼しくなりませんでした（笑。二日目の夜に外出から帰ったら何故かキンキンに冷えてました）。 お風呂もカビが残ってたり、なんなら部屋全体もカビ臭い。シャワーサンダルにもなる部屋履き持参をオススメします。 ただ、それを上回るほど建物が可愛らしくて、ただただ何もせずに部屋や外のデッキ、プールでリラックスするのに最高です。 あとは食べ歩きにも最高で、徒歩圏内、5分ぐらい？に大きいホーカーもありますし、反対側に歩いても選びきれないほど選択肢あります。朝から。 最後に、ホテルで飼われてる猫ちゃん（ハチワレ。名前はアビ）がお喋り好きで、人を見るとデッキにお話しに来ます。 ぜひまた泊まりに行きたいです。

While the mansion's architecture and design are truly beautiful, the actual stay experience fell short of expectations. The ground-floor room is particularly noisy, with street-level sounds like traffic and conversations being a constant disturbance. Adding to this, the proximity of the windows to the street meant that opening them for fresh air was not an option, as passersby were literally right outside. The staff were functional but not particularly warm or welcoming. Given these issues, I cannot recommend this hotel, especially for those seeking a peaceful retreat in Penang.

We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights as 2 couples for holiday trip. We expected a cultural peranakan experience in a mansion. But the moment we stepped into the premise, we realised we made the mistake booking this hotel. The receptionist, Mr Muiz checking us in was cold, unwelcoming and unhelpful. When I asked what was some of the interesting places to visit around there, he responded that "everything is interesting in Penang." Mr Muiz whom we later was surprised to learn he was in fact the hotel manager, When we checked into the room, it was rather dark and bare; no wardrobe, no hangers. You have to be on all four to use the hotel safe as it was placed at the very bottom of a small cupboard. No telephone, no kettle nor basic coffee/tea facility in the room, no compendium to explain what guest services were available in the hotel. In fact, we only learned from the night staff that the drinks in the refrigerator were complimentary which the hotel manager did not bother to tell us. The TV was not working when we checked in. When we told the manager that the cable channels were also not working and when it could we expect that to be fixed, he told us that he had already informed the cable company who would come within 24 hours to fix it. The next day I checked with him, he responded "you know this is Malaysia and you won't know when". It was only on the last day, we were told by one of the staff it was finally fixed. Would not recommend this hotel to my friends.

Gorgeous property!

We loved our stay in this beautiful old mansion building. Our room was huge and the antique furniture added to the beautiful decor. The room was very comfortable and clean, but the air conditioning was not very strong and we needed to sleep with a loud fan overnight. The lap pool was a welcome addition and the hotel was an easy walk to lots of great restaurants and to the colonial centre.

Atmospheric mansion. Rooms are spacious and place is welcoming. Coffee facilities and ironing are shared. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quite close to many tourist spots but it was too hot to walk much. Caught Grab mainly.

quite old antique styles. can be relaxed. convenient for walking for meal. staffs are all nice.

Great hotel location

Saw some previous negative reviews a out this property after my booking. After checked in, all those negative reviews I read were already out of the window . From the room to the front desk and staff, everything and everyone was so surprisingly friendly and comfortable. The location is great too. Walking distance to everything in Georgs town. I am so glad I stayed with this property.

Wegen den ausgezeichneten Bewetungen des Hotels hatte ich wohl zu hohe Erwartungen. Die Lage ist abseits vom Nachtleben. Zu Fuss benötigt man ca. 10 bis 15 Minuten zur Love Lane. Der Weg führt durch eher einsame Quartiere. Spät in der Nacht vielleicht nicht jedermanns Sache. Das Hotel liegt neben einer Moschee. Um 5.58 Uhr morgens wird der Schlaf darum für einige Minuten lautstark unterbrochen. Der Pool ist nur für sportliche Personen benützbar. Es fehlt ein geeigneter Einstieg in den Pool. Das Zimmer ist sehr gross und im "Heritage"-Stil gehalten. Das Bett ist viel zu hart. Das Badezimmer sollte renoviert werden und der WC-Sitz dringend ersetzt werden. Das Badezimmer wirkt sehr schmuddelig. Die Bettwäsche wurde die ganze Woche nie gewechselt. Auch die Bettwäsche wirkt alt und war nicht mehr wirklich weiss. Der Safe funktionierte nicht richtig. Man übergab mir einfach den Notschlüssel, damit ich dfn Safe jeweils selbst öffnen kann. Allerdings erhielt ich zuerst den falschen Notschlüssel weil "mein" Notschlüssel bei anderen Gästen sei. Offensichtlich machen die kleinen, alten Safes viele Probleme. Die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr freundlich.

We loved our room next to the pool. The property is well maintained and really connects to the heritage experience. Nice lap pool which we used to cool off several times. Staff are extremely pleasant and provided everything we needed. Walkable to some sights and easy pick up by Grab when we needed it. Spoke to a member of staff about breakfast and they said they hoped to bring back this option in the future. A very relaxed stay and would definitely recommend Jawi Peranakan Mansion.

There was no laundry service in the premises but it is shown there is. I was hoping staff would be more attentive but they didn’t help us with the luggages to our room on the 2nd floor.

The room was in a heritage house and was beautifully decorated. It was lovely and cool and I didnt have to use the aircon Jalan Penang is nearby with plenty of shopping and restaurants The free CAT bus is close as well I would recommend this hotel as a well situated and beautiful place to stay

Safe in room didn't work at first but got it settled later after staff passed us two sets of keys to reset (poor service). Not much of a welcome. An old-style accommodation, cosy but frills-less. Pool is really small.

プラナカン様式のステキなホテルでした！ 玄関を通り抜けると、そこは別世界！ カメラを構えたくなるかわいさでした。 部屋はとても広く、悠々快適です。 ジョージタウンの中心部までも徒歩圏内です。 私たちは新世界の屋台で夕ご飯を食べましたが、こちらもすぐに行けて便利です。 ホテル内にあるフリードリンク、お菓子、アイスどれも美味しかったです。 スタッフの方もとても親切で、とても楽しい旅ができました！
