MAREA Central Apartments

This apartment is absolutely wonderful! It is stylish, comfortable, very clean, and has both a well-stocked kitchen and washer. Excellent location in Sliema and walk to everything. Note there is no lift and you need to turn on the hot water switch before using the shower. Very nice staff available on WhatsApp. Highly recommend!

What a great location just a short walk to the water and the shops and restaurants

The property itself was excellent. It is modern, immaculately clean. The kitchen is well equipped with two burners, a fridge and freezer, microwave and washing machine. It was most useful to be able to refresh one’s wardrobe while on the road. The bed was exceedingly comfortable. There is a safe. There is no lift so those with mobility issues take note. I would rate it 10 out of 10 except for the continuous traffic outside. While I am aware that the hotel has no control over that, I had chosen the property because it seemed to be on a narrow street in a neighbourhood. It turned out to be a major throughway in Sliema. Once the air conditioner had been reset I was able to sleep better my last two nights out of four with its noise cancelling out most of the traffic noise. If you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you. My other issue is within the control of the property. Since an access code is needed to enter and I hadn’t heard back from them despite repeated messages through Expedia I was becoming anxious at getting no reply. The suggested phone call was not an option for me since it would cause heavy roaming fees. I couldn’t find an email or connect through WhatsApp. I can understand not wanting to send out the access code too early but a brief reply saying they had heard from me and would provide it on the day of arrival would have allayed my concerns.

The apartment was really clean and had all the necessary amenities for my stay. The staff was really attentive specially when I called at 1am as there was a delay in my flight.
