Suites de la Parra

Pros: *Location, location, location - close to the markets and major tourist attractions *Breakfast Options and Good food quality *Staff goes above and beyond when you need help *Proximity to various food options - street food to fancy restaurants *Beautiful and relaxing rooftop terrace and nice cozy pool *Daily cleaning and never had an issue with anything not being clean with that said please check your room as soon as you check in and if anything needs attention they’ll take care of it. My bedsheet had hair on it that wasn’t mine when I checked in the room but it was taken care of. * Air conditioning and kitchenette - they give you daily bottled water which is much appreciated Cons: *No elevator, stairs only (but it’s okay because you’ll burn off all the yummy food you’ll eat) *There will be a sewer smell daily between 3pm - 5pm *Water pressure is not consistent which slightly affects water temperature. Noticed water temperature at night was ideal. Would stay again.

Estancia muy tranquila la habitación siempre muy linda, limpia y con unas amenidades muy creativas los desayunos deliciosos y el personal muy atento siempre, se encuentra a una cuadra del zócalo de la ciudad así que muy accesible para cualquier parte. La entrada al hotel es un poco pequeña y al principio te asustas porque no ves el lobby hasta después subiendo las escaleras pero cuando entras a las habitaciones todo cambia se los recomiendo mucho. Gracias suites de la Parra por tan agradable estancia.

The Suites de la Parra is a nice place to stay the only issue was the construction going on. But we did have breakfast and were able to swim at a neighboring Hotel. Once the construction is done I’m sure will be fine. Maggie and Juan were great and went out of their way to keep our stay comfortable and they were very informative.

The room I stayed at with my family was very large and clean. The hotel is family/kid friendly and safe. My children enjoyed the pool and the complementary breakfast, which included traditional Mexican bread and cuisine. The staff, particularly Jorge and Mary, made us feel right at home. The property is at walking distance from the market, restaurants, and the center square.

We had a terrible experience when we stayed at this hotel. There was short circuit at the reception which is super small and is the only emergency exit in the hotel. It happened around 1am and there were NO fire alarms nor smoke detectors in place. My husband wake up when he heard the noise and noticed the smoke that smelled as burned plastic. We evacuated by ourselves the property, with no help at all, as the only person in charge of the whole hotel was the security guard who did not have a protocol in place to take care of the guests. We were in the street in the middle of the night with two kids and nobody helped us until I remember there was another hotel property that is two blocks away, I had walk to the other property to request to be received. In the rush of the emergency, we left our belongs behind which later on the same night we went to recover in the middle of the dark, only with our cell phone light. Some days later I realized that I left my smartwatch, I went back to the property and supposedly nobody found it. I don't trust this hotel at all, as they did not show any care for us during the emergency situation. I don't recommend this hotel to any one. In the other hand we called Expedia, since the hotel did not give us any solution as far the rest of our stay. The staff at Expedia was super kind and understanded our situation, they helped us to find accommodation in another hotel.

By far one of our best experiences while traveling was because the staff at the Suites de la Parra. This group of people are the most friendly, well informed, and hard working we have seen at a boutique hotel. We stayed during a busy festival time, but the rooms are so well insulated that you could ignore everything if you needed rest. Or if you wanted to experience it all, just walk out into the streets to experience the parades, music, and parties, everything is within a few blocks. The views of the mountains are spectacular, and we could see so many of the firework shows. The breakfast was delicious, we never wanted to miss it (which is hard to do, as they serve it for extended hours). We will be coming back!

Hard to be around the facility. No elevators, too many stairs to go from place to place.

Excellent hotel and staff! The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The included breakfast is a really nice bonus.

Estuvo bien solo que en el de oaxaca no cuenta con estacionamiento y estaban arreglando la calle pero todo bien

Central Location in Oaxaca City. The staff is amazing and welcoming. You will not regret this experience. If you need to book excursions the staff will be happy to help. They are very helpful and will be willing to help you. My family of 4 stayed here and loved their stay! I hope to return to Oaxaca City and if I do I would most definitely recommend this location.

Cannot have a more central location. Short walking distance to everything. Accommodations are bar none. Made to order local breakfast. and a porter who helped us check out at 4am! and the price....unbelievable! They also helped me tirelessly with coordinating airport shuttle vendor & mediating an accidental credit card charge. Highly recommend!

The food was good and we had free breakfast but the service was not the best. The sink faucet in the kitchen of our room wasn't working. The phone in our room was also not working. We wanted to call to request room service and to inform them that the guest above our room were being too loud at 11pm and couldn't do so because our phone wasn't working. Half of the staff that helped us were friendly and the others didn't seem happy to be there and we felt as if we were bothering them at work. We did report that the faucet and phone were not working and they were never fixed. Our stay was three days and two nights. The location is excellent.
