Les Matins Bleus

It was arranged for me to be picked up at the airport by the hotel. Nobody turned up and I was left stranded at Essaouira airport with no help and no taxi . It was an horrendous night that will always be remembered. It cost me 300dhs to get to town and was then dropped off somewhere completely strange and had to find alternative accommodation. Do not trust this hotel.

Ich habe 5 Tage im Les Matins Bleus verbracht. Die Lage des Riads ist sehr gut, in der Medina, nahe zum Souk und zum Meer. Viele Restaurants in der näheren Umgebung. Das Frühstück ist gut und wurde zu einem kleinen Aufpreis meinen Wünschen entsprechend ergänzt. Da ich alleine reiste, hatte ich natürlich das kleinste Zimmer. Wirklich klein, ohne Stuhl, eigene Dusche und Toilette, aber dafür musste ich den Gang überqueren. Die größeren Zimmer haben mir gefallen. Alle Zimmer öffnen zum Innenhof. Da kann es ganz schön laut werden bis Mitternacht. Das Öffnen und Schließen der Zimmertüren, Fenster und hölzernen Fensterläden echod im Innenhof. Gerne hätte ich mich abends auf die Dachterrasse gesetzt, aber die war wenig einladend. Würde das Riad mit den oben genannten Einschränkungen weiter empfehlen.

Incredible value for money! I was genuinely amazed by the quality these people offer at such a reasonable price. Everything was spotless, which I truly appreciated, and the location is absolutely top. Highly recommended!

Es ist ein sehr schön gepflegtes kleines Hotel in einem traditionellen Haus mit dachterasse und familiengeführt! Nur zu empfehlen!

Good location, just in the center of Medina. Beautiful riad. Lot of sweet things for breakfast, msemen (pancakes) for example.

If I had known this beforehand, I would not have booked 13 days: 1. shower and toilet outside the room 2. no window and virtually no daylight in the small room 3. so much cat smell and cat dirt in front of the entrance 4. the shower head of the shower was defective 5. unfortunately I booked 13 days in advance. On the 2nd day I asked if I could travel on after 6 days. Unfortunately this was not possible, I had to stay 13 days and pay for 13 days. Very, very uncooperative Never again this hotel.

This place is full of character. Couldn't be more central. The staff incredibly caring and attentive. Avoid room number 5. The toilet is outside the room.

A bit difficult to find. Breakfast only average.

Extremely friendly staff, and a very quiet peaceful place to relax. Excellent value for money. We preferred it to another more pricey riad round the corner which we stayed in afterwards! I felt very at home there and would recommend it! We went as a couple and stayed in a twin room. The family rooms looked nice too. The breakfast was simple and yummy.

Très beau Riad, havre de paix dans la médina. Samir et Myriam sont vraiment très accueillants et disponibles notamment pour organiser nos activités, on s’y sent comme chez soi ! Cuisine délicieuse et petit déjeuner servi sur la terrasse, un plaisir quotidien !

This was amazingly good value as a hotel. Room was fine - pretty small with toilet/shower opposite. Building is lovely, and very well located close to entrance of Medina. Staff were helpful. Two down sides - bed was pretty uncomfortable, quite hard and i could feel the springs. Definitely could do with updating. Breakfast is plentiful, but very bread/sugar heavy (bread, pancake, cake, honey, jam, orange juice, coffee/tea). Would be nice to have some fruit.

Vriendelijk, schoon, ruim, knus en servicegericht. Iets minder was het late ontbijt, wat ook te laat kwam.
