Sofitel Agadir Thalassa Sea & Spa

It was lovely overall.

The hotel is really lush and beautiful. Would we go back? No. Purely because they charge you for everything you wanna do - padel is €40/€50 . They make crepes for fun in the reception and there’s a charge - it’s all just silly. So it isn’t a regular 5* where these things come as part of your nightly rate . It’s gorgeous, but that sort of opportunistic charging ruins it. Plus kids under 16 can’t use the pool so on our 2 lashing rainy days, our 10 year old literally had nothing to do. The hotel next door gave us bikes so we cycled in the rain. The Thalassa doesn’t even have a few bikes you can borrow (they’d prob charge more than the cost of it anyway :)). Gorg hotel. But they need to ditch the greed!

Staff Service was very average - there were three friendly faces. Great setting and well designed outdoor area. Needs a proper coffee machine in the room for the prices charged. Money seems to be a driver not service.

Schönes Hotel mit gutem Frühstück und tollem Strandzugang. Leider hatten wir während unseres Aufenthaltes in unserem Zimmer Bettwanzenbefall was unseren Aufenthalt sehr getrübt hat. Man hatte uns ein anderes Zimmer gegeben, aber dieses neue Zimmer war nur ein paar Zimmer weiter vom befallenen Zimmer und wir hatten dann kein gutes Gefühl mehr. Auch nach unserer Rückkehr haben wir grossen Aufwand betrieben um keine Bettwanzen in unser zu Hause zu bringen. Sehr Schade weil das Hotel sehr schön ist. Wir hätten uns gewünscht, dass das Hotel das Thema ernster nimmt.

The hotel was lovely. The communication with staff was difficult sometimes as 80% did not know how to speak English. There was very small ants around the outside and inside of the door to our hotel room when i made them aware they did not understand or didn't want to understand and did nothing to resolve the situation. Communication when ordering food was difficult ended up ordering double and paying more for certain items due to lack of understanding. If fluent in french then you are ok. Overall the hotel was beautiful.

This is a stunning hotel with beautiful pool areas and a choice of 3 restaurants all of which offer excellent food. The breakfast was amazing with loads of stunning pastries and everything you could wish for. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back.

This hotel was wonderful. We had a couple of issues with the room when we first got there which staff quickly resolved! Laila from the cleaning team was amazing! Lahouciane from the breakfast service team was a joy to speak to everyday! Down to Mohammed who I spoke to a lot for room service. Everyone made the trip so much wonderful. The restaurants were really nice! The Mexican tapas bar did the best churros we’ve ever had and the beach restaurants lamb chops and salt sea bass was sensational! Would recommend and return.

Beach was nice. Short walk from room and hotel lobby. Got to see sunset from their chairs every night. What Sofitel always does for me and why I continue to use their brand worldwide is their attention to customers. They all go out of the way to make the stay welcoming. Getting a taxi outside is easy, but kinda of a drag being so far from town. Made us wanna stay at resort even more. Everyone from kitchen, to lobby, to cleaning crew to servers was impecabble. I would return.

We booked a 4 night stay in Agadir for our wedding anniversary. We emailed the hotel for our airport transfer which they kindly arranged without any issues. Mr Houcine called us personally the day before our travel to reassure us that all was ok. On arrival to Agadir airport, our driver was on time, warm & welcoming. A lovely start! We arrived at Sofitel & was greeted with genuine warmth by Mr Houcine & his team. Fatima was helpful, answered any questions we had & showed us to our lovely room which was perfect for the two of us, not too big, not too small with a good sized balcony. It was very clean & comfortable & met our expectations. The hotel sits on a large beautiful space & the grounds are very well maintained & calming. A superb place to unwind & relax. All the staff & security were attentive, professional & friendly. They represented well & are a credit to the Sofitel brand. The restaurants & food are of a high standard with a good variety of quality food. The prices are very reasonable with good portion sizes. We also had the pleasure of using Thalassa Sea & Spa. The team & therapists were so nice, welcoming & were very informative. The facilities were excellent, very clean & hygienic. We were blown away by the level of service, attention & kindness we received, when to our surprise, our room was decorated to wish us a Happy Anniversary - a truly lovely gesture which made our day even more special, thank you! It was a real pleasure to stay at this wonderful hotel.

Disappointed, room allocation incorrect, three days with pneumatic drill going for hours next to the pool area, being chased out the door for unpaid bill when settled previous evening. No catering for dietary food and drink requirements.

The staff were incredible, they made us feel so welcome and they were so helpful. They made my baby moon perfect!

Hôtel magnifique avec une très belle végétation, deux belles piscines et un accès direct à la plage. Trois restaurants de qualité avec un chef attentionné et très disponible. Seul bémol de notre séjour: travaux sans discontinuer pendant 1/2 journée (14h-20h30), la veille de notre départ, à proximité du spa, sans aucune information au préalable. Impossibilité de rester à la piscine ou au restaurant de plage. Aucun retour de la direction de l'hôtel malgré nos requêtes à la réception.

Aesthetically pleasing, the grounds are lovely, the pool is serene but there are some basic issues to address which may have been unique to our experience but we could not overlook as never had this at a Sofitel. Food options limi

Service was excellent, the room was spacious and beautiful, and the hotel’s location is very convenient—close to the marina and many great restaurants. The private beach access was a highlight that made our stay even more special. The breakfast buffet was generous with an excellent selection, and the entire team went above and beyond with their hospitality. Thank you 🙏 We would definitely stay here again.
