Sofitel Casablanca Tour blanche

We were very grateful for the gentleman on the reception desk who waited till after 12AM to allow us to check (we have booked at 11:54pm). The room was great with a big bathroom, it had a lovely view of the city, unfortunately there was a mould/damp smell in room 703. The Air Con was not effective when we walked into the room, the hotel sent up an engineer within 5 minutes and he fixed the system. The rooms have different layouts, we would suggest they re-think the layout for rooms where they have the toilet in a separate space to the bathroom. All of the staff in the breakfast area were lovely, their service was second to none, the waiters treated all of our family with respect and made the kids feel so special. They have a varied breakfast spread and you have hot food made to order which was yummy (order the Khliaa omelette if you choose this hotel). Their Morrocan Tea served at breakfast is a real experience. Unfortunately I found a paperclip in my sausage, the breakfast staff were extremely apologetic and no harm done. My Khalil who greets the guests was very nice, everyone was very helpful. I would just make one suggestion and ask the hotel to train the females on reception as they were not welcoming and hesitated to help guests (this is not what you expect from a 5* hotel). The Spa staff were fabulous, Salima did our massage and she was wonderful. Their steam room is the best one I have seen ever. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool area and Hanaane is amazing!

La chambre etait propre si l on ne regarde les sols de près. La climatisation de notre chambre ne marchait pas. J ai fait 4 réclamations sans succès. La terrasse etait indisponible pour travaux. Les gens fument a la fenêtre de la piscine couverte ce qui indisposé les autres. Le minibar n etait pas tres propre non plus. L arrivée dans la douche avait un problème. Dans l ensemble les chambres avaient d être rafraichies.

Overall nice place with good Restaraunt and breakfast. Staff not as warm as everywhere else I experienced in Morocco but they were helpful. Bathroom not as clean as it could be.

Hôtel bien situé avec de très belles parties communes rénovées. Concernant les chambres ce n'est pas encore le cas, elles ont mal vieilli et nécessitent une rénovation totale urgente. Regret qu'il n'y ai pas de rooftop au regard de la taille de la tour.

Room not what you see on the pictures…

I have requested multiple times to change my room and asked for an upgrade, being a platinum member with Expedia , they haven’t responded as per expectations. Which is very strange, please teach your staff the basics of how to deal with customers first. This is so disappointing.

Arrived approximately 2:50 pm Monday, February 16, 2026. Doormen pleasantly greeted us upon arrival, assisted with luggage and directed us to reception area. Numerous guests sitting, waiting, several employees seemingly feigning activity, not attending to anyone, nor acknowledging our presence. Awkwardly stood in middle of the small reception area waiting for direction. Eventually, I politely asked if we needed to wait to check in and received no other response than "Passport please". Check in was methodical, without pleasantries. Another guest was trying to interrupt our receptionist as she was concerned her passport had not been returned to her. Our receptionist spoke to her with less courtesy than I would have expected that she did not have her passport and it was another colleague who had taken it from her. Room condition was extremely disappointing. "Filthy" is not an exaggeration, stains on carpet, couch, bedding (hair on pillow), poor condition, dated, in need of a refurbishment or a deep, deep clean. If this hotel had a "heyday", it must have been long ago. Breakfast room service was timely and good value. Dinner was expensive and poor quality, although service was extremely attentive and personable (great personal conversation). Interactions with doormen were always pleasant and personable when exiting and entering the hotel. Check out was smooth and pleasant. Overall, stay was terribly disappointing due to condition of the hotel and lack of value for money.
