Deacra Villas By Sol Resorts

6 of us stayed at Villa 1 at Deacra and the overall trip was pretty good with a few caveats. Positives - The staff were amazing - e.g. Jill tried to find a way for our one veg-only members to find alternates (although avoid vilankulos if you can’t eat fish!), shuttles were organized for us to go to the restaraunts (tuk tuks cost about $5 for a one way trip for 3 people as well) and they were very responsive with any of our queries - The views from the villa are great, and it’s a short 5-10 min walk to the beach - The villa is well maintained, a lady comes daily to help clean up and the pool (while a bit chilly compared to the ocean) is always clean Negatives - 2 of the 3 bathrooms didn’t have hot water and despite maintenance coming to try sort it out, we had problems throughout the trip. 2 of the showers are also only outdoor and so if privacy is a big concern, you may want to avoid it - Note there is no WiFi at the villa but they did help everyone get SIM cards with 2 gbs of data (for about $5 each) which solved most of our problems - Villas are also a bit secluded and a couple of Kms away from the town but there is a dedicated security guard (and dogs)
