Restaurant food good, friendly staff, the rooms were comfortable although a little dated.

An interesting small hotel located in 2nd floor of bar and restaurant. Attractive price. Good fast service in restaurant. Expect noise from the bar before midnight.

We got what we paid for. This is budget accommodation. Our room was over the bar front/outdoor dinning area and was noisy. There is no internal access from the bar/dinning area to the accommodation. You have to exit the pub, walk around to the back and come in a separate back entrance. Common kitchen and bathrooms were clean and tidy. No complaints really.

Avoid to stay on the weekend. There’s live band playing in the pub and you can’t sleep even with ear plugs

My stay here was comfortable relaxed and the staff were very nice also the locals were friendly and helpful.

We were surprised at how good the pub was considering the age of it. The floor creaked in our bedroom but the bed was good. We were in the room next to the bathroom so that was great

The accommodation was suited well for the cheap price but a proper kitchen would have been good!

Nice character pub, friendly staff lacking in info a wee bit but they were pretty busy.. I did end up leaving at 2am though (luckily I was just passing thru and had that choice) surprisingly it wasn’t the general pub noise but a hellish unpredictable fridge/chiller/heat pump? (Some sort of motor) that kept me from getting any rest. Had a quick scroll to see it’s probably just that room? #3 What was the noise though? I’m in deep now.

The Blue Pub offers very basic accommodation at exceptionally low prices. The room was bare bones. Bed, coat rack, and small wall shelf. There are shower and toilet facilities down the hall in individual cubicles. There is also a guest lounge area with a TV and kitchenette. My room was neat and clean. The room was not serviced daily. The common area is shared by the 14 guest rooms, but is rarely used by more than a couple of guests at a time. The common area is dated and is a clean up after yourself area, so it depends on the habits of the other guests.There is also access to a veranda that overlooks the large patio and street front. Parking is easy. Downstairs the Pub has a large bar area which was fairly busy most evenings. Located close to the Mt. Hutt ski area, I would stay here again. My wife would go for a more upscale hotel.
