A true farm house with chickens and fresh fruit trees. The house and our bedroom and bath were well furnished and clean. The owners were warm and very nice and had fresh fruit from the farm for us. The views down the hill were beautiful as well. We had returned from Golden Bay and heading west the next day and this being in Hope saved us a good 20 minutes being west of Nelson. Definitely recommend.

A real gem! The property is wonderful, stylish, comfortable and luxurious. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside, a real retreat and treat. Host is very helpful and made us most welcome. The kitchen, dining and sitting areas are well equipped. One regret: we didn't stay longer.

A beautiful boutique accomodation set in the surrounding countryside of Richmond . Tastefully renovated with stunning views and elegant bedrooms . A little noisy in communal kitchen area in evening , otherwise great.

Great location in Hope with small farm vibe. Fresh farm- seasonal fruit on dining table is welcoming. Comfy bed. Excellent kitchen facilities & BBQ. Attentive host- helpful but not intrusive- lives nearby on farm. Country style luxe. Convenient for day trips North to Tasman NP, winery hills & Mapau- also ti Nelson about 10min drive away. nearby drive 2 some great local eateries & supply shops. Would definetely stay again .

The Pear Orchard Lodge is a lovely place to stay and we would highly recommend it! Our room was large and comfortable and we particularly enjoyed sitting in the garden area.

Beautiful property, great location, the kids loved being near all the animals. The Shearer’s Cottage was beautifully appointed.

Love the walk at the pear Orchard and the view from the hill for sunset as well as getting close to all the farm animals. Will definitely come back if there is opportunity 👍👍👍😍😍😍

perfect location...........close to everything. nice and quiet. Great facilities. Breakfast is great with freshly baked bread and in house jams.

Top-Ausstattung und Bio-Food. Das beste Bett mit super-sifter Bettwäsche in dem wir in ganz Neuseeland geschlafen haben. Nicht zu hart und nicht zu weich! Und am wichtigsten die RUHE und die Aussicht morgens über die ganze Gegend!

We spent two nights here and had one of the rooms with en suite and a private balcony. Very welcoming right from the start with Timo introducing us to the property. The lodge is set in a peaceful rural environment not far from Richmond and Nelson. The whole property is possessed of an open, light and very comfortable feel with some farm animals around, a babbling brook and a good outlook. Reclaimed materials have been skillfully incorporated into the build and contribute to the character. The bed was comfortable with nice linen, and breakfast downstairs included fresh baked home made bread with jams from the orchard and gardens (lovely fresh pear juice too when we were there). If you want to mix with other guests and swap stories then the shared well-organised kitchen and dining area, or the outside deck and BBQ, are very conducive. Easy also to find your own space if you prefer. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to come again.

Hands down one of the warmest environments we’ve stayed in. Beautifully designed lodge inside and out, magical property to wander around including being able to interact with farm animals and most of all wonderful informative hosts. Wish we had more time. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!
