Hotel Tranquilo

It’s a very nice and welcoming place. The staff was great. The pool and grounds are well kept and they are right on the beach . I definitely recommend.

The outside area of the hotel is absolutely beautiful! The garden is designed with lovely details, different sitting areas, hammocks, plants and a wonderful upstairs patio from which one can enjoy the sunset. Only being there is relaxing. The pool is quiet large and very clean. The hotel is directly at the beach right between Las Penitas and Poneloya. One can take beautiful walks in the morning. The rooms have a strong aircon, generally are clean and comfortable. There are several pillow options which is a nice detail. Most importantly, the service is outstanding. The staff is flexible, friendly and juts generally happy to help. They are always up for a little chat and can provide a lot of information. When my friend got sick, they helped us find a doctor and assisted us in translating and everything else. Food always freshly made in the open kitchen! Try the desserts as well! We loved it and will definitely come back if in the area!

I really liked the hotel at first sight. Upon arriving the check in staff was not friendly at all. I was very aware that there would be charge for the 5th person but its the way she expressed herself was rude. Also the room was dirty and smelly. The linen had lizard poop on it and the bathroom smelled awful. We kindly asked for her to please change the sheets and to please clean the bathroom. Again she did so in a rude manner. At this point I was so frustrated. I drove from Managua to Leon with family to experience the beauty of the beach. Tired and frustrated I decided to take my family to the hostel 2 hotels down to eat dinner. The customer service there was awesome nothing like where we were staying. Also the pool was dirty. My nephew had to clean it. I will say the next morning staff that cooked breakfast was awesome and very nice. I hate that I didn’t get her name. Lastly I will say the hotel is beautifully decorated but staff needs good customer service skills.

Clean beautiful room. Good option! Had WiFi and walks out to beach. I wish they had a tv in the room, I like to watch tv late at night but other than that it was a great hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was roomy and clean. Water heater didn't seem to be working or maybe they don't heat their water but we found it refreshing coming in from 90's temps. Food is available at the restaurant. Drinks and snacks easily available at any time. Grounds were clean and nice. Bring repellent, tons of mosquitoes. Location was walkable. Restaurants nearby. Beautiful beach with amazing sunsets.

I was recommended to go to Las Penitas a small surfing village by the locals and it was amazing, I stayed at Hotel Tranquilo and it was all first class, the service, pool, food, music play list and drinks, if you are lucky you will meet the owners Jack and Carmen, they go above and beyond. I highly recommend it.

Any place on the beach is going to have a great feeling. The air, sound of the waves, and relaxing atmosphere are soothing. This place puts you there. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was good but not great. The room was comfortable, clean, quaint, and functional with the amenities you’d expect at a hotel.

I had rigorously traveled around Nicaragua for the week prior to my stay at Hotel Tranquilo. I craved some much needed recharge time, this place couldn’t have been more perfect! Food was great, rooms were nice, hot water, hosts were second to none. I was even lucky enough to meet and exchange war stories with the owners, great folks, proud owners that care about their property and guests. The beach was great, and clean. I will be back with kiddos next time!
