Amazing Ski Lodge, feel of a log cabin in the woods. Breathtaking view of the city, and beyond from the elevation. A Must for a lifetime memory. Hotel Bar adds to the experience.

The hotel was fabulous, it was exactly what we were looking for. Ideally located for the ski museum and a 15 minute walk downhill to the train station, uphill on the way from the train station! The hotel has the most spectacular views over Oslo and Oslofijord. The breakfast is plentiful with options for everyone. We stayed over Christmas and were disappointed with the Christmas Buffet (the options were very limited compared to what was advertised, the limited dishes made it very overpriced, even for Christmas Day), drinks from the bar are expensive but no more than the rest of Oslo. The lounge areas are gorgeous and very peaceful with a wood burner/fire on the first floor and a fire pit on the ground floor. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from the rooms with a balcony at the front of the hotel have the most beautiful sun rise and sunset views over Oslo. The family rooms are generous when the sofa bed is as a sofa but a bit cramped when the sofa bed is out. The double rooms are quite small and seem to be on the opposite side of the corridor so the window overlooks the section of hotel behind so have no view to look at. Overall the rooms were clean, we had a double and family room and if in the rooms, i.e. presents on Christmas morning, we stayed in the family room as the double had limited floorspace Aside from being disappointed with the Christmas Day meal, we had a fantastic stay and have already looked into returning for next Christmas.

Lovely idyllic location with sensational views of the city. Breakfast and lunch buffets were both excellent and service throughout the hotel was very friendly and attentive. The woman that checked us in and sorted a small hiccup with our rooms was especially welcoming and helpful. Spa and gym facillites were very relaxing and available at a good price. Only wish that we were able to spend a longer time here.

Vi hadde et helt nydelig opphold og var utrolig fornøyde. Atmosfæren på hotellet var varm og innbydende fra første stund. Vi spiste i restaurantene, og maten var rett og slett fantastisk – både smakfull og delikat. I tillegg fikk vi ikke bare god service, men også spennende historier om hotellet fra servitøren, noe som gjorde opplevelsen ekstra spesiell. Vi var så heldige å bli oppgradert på rommet, noe vi satte stor pris på – rommet var lekkert, komfortabelt og bidro virkelig til et ekstra fint opphold. Frokosten var også helt topp, med et godt utvalg og ferske, gode råvarer. Alt i alt et opphold vi virkelig kan anbefale, og vi kommer veldig gjerne tilbake.

Hotel is on good condition. It is beautiful, especially on old side. Views outside aare exceptional to sea and city. Rooms are good, all the basic stuff there. Breakfast has everything you may need.

Plettfritt rom med fantastisk utsikt. Hyggelig personale. Supert treningsstudio! Frokosten var bra nok, men hadde forventet litt mer variasjon/kvalitet dessverre. Alt i alt veldig bra, vi kommer nok helt sikkert tilbake!

This hotel is in a beautiful location and looks lovely , however most of the staff were not helpful at all and I found them rude there is a pool but on arrival we were told this is not for children and very small the spa was not accessible and closed Sunday and Monday and you have to pay to use it around £18 per person the family room was comfy but we had to change to 2 small rooms as we had a 18 year old and we really struggled to sleep in this small rooms as the beds have thin mattresses which slide and slant the bed is 2 single beds joined together which kept drifting apart we really didn’t sleep Most nights and we were there for 6 nights this hotel Looks like a 5 star but is really a 2 star serve and comfort we paid £1200 pounds and was very disappointed they do not value there customers the gym is the only good thing and the breakfast buffet but without sleep we were very exhausted and couldn’t wait to leave 😔 I would never go back Here again

Deuxième séjour dans cet hôtel. Le bâtiment est toujours aussi beau, splendide même. On est vraiment dans un très bel établissement. Petit déjeuner au top, bar au top, espace sport... Juste une légère déception sur la literie et les oreillers tout petits. Mais un très beau séjour !

Amazing Ski Lodge, feel of a log cabin in the woods. Breathtaking view of the city, and beyond from the elevation. A Must for a lifetime memory. Hotel Bar adds to the experience.

The hotel was fabulous, it was exactly what we were looking for. Ideally located for the ski museum and a 15 minute walk downhill to the train station, uphill on the way from the train station! The hotel has the most spectacular views over Oslo and Oslofijord. The breakfast is plentiful with options for everyone. We stayed over Christmas and were disappointed with the Christmas Buffet (the options were very limited compared to what was advertised, the limited dishes made it very overpriced, even for Christmas Day), drinks from the bar are expensive but no more than the rest of Oslo. The lounge areas are gorgeous and very peaceful with a wood burner/fire on the first floor and a fire pit on the ground floor. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from the rooms with a balcony at the front of the hotel have the most beautiful sun rise and sunset views over Oslo. The family rooms are generous when the sofa bed is as a sofa but a bit cramped when the sofa bed is out. The double rooms are quite small and seem to be on the opposite side of the corridor so the window overlooks the section of hotel behind so have no view to look at. Overall the rooms were clean, we had a double and family room and if in the rooms, i.e. presents on Christmas morning, we stayed in the family room as the double had limited floorspace Aside from being disappointed with the Christmas Day meal, we had a fantastic stay and have already looked into returning for next Christmas.

Lovely idyllic location with sensational views of the city. Breakfast and lunch buffets were both excellent and service throughout the hotel was very friendly and attentive. The woman that checked us in and sorted a small hiccup with our rooms was especially welcoming and helpful. Spa and gym facillites were very relaxing and available at a good price. Only wish that we were able to spend a longer time here.

Vi hadde et helt nydelig opphold og var utrolig fornøyde. Atmosfæren på hotellet var varm og innbydende fra første stund. Vi spiste i restaurantene, og maten var rett og slett fantastisk – både smakfull og delikat. I tillegg fikk vi ikke bare god service, men også spennende historier om hotellet fra servitøren, noe som gjorde opplevelsen ekstra spesiell. Vi var så heldige å bli oppgradert på rommet, noe vi satte stor pris på – rommet var lekkert, komfortabelt og bidro virkelig til et ekstra fint opphold. Frokosten var også helt topp, med et godt utvalg og ferske, gode råvarer. Alt i alt et opphold vi virkelig kan anbefale, og vi kommer veldig gjerne tilbake.
