We completely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The location is perfect for a quiet get away

The room been a little smelly, shower pressure was bad and need replacement same as door for the room because i had hard time to close it from the inside. Lots of dead insects swimming in the pool and nobody to clean it, also the water was salty so probably pumped from the sea, so we didn't really used it. The view was Great the area peaceful, staff tried best but a lot need to be done to make the resort up to standards.

Run down room, moldy smell everytime you enter the room. Thou we liked the staff especially Jima, she is really nice and helpful. The road going to this resort is really rough, narrow and not paved. The town itself Definitely need a lot of improve with their rough unpaved roads.

The good and the bad: Good: The staff are the best feature of this property. They're really fantastic people who are helpful, friendly and kind. Someone is always available to assist whether it's 9am or 3am. The food is fantastic - we have stayed at multiple resorts in Philippines over a three week period and the breakfast we had at Reef Strand was better than all of them. The view was incredible. The resort always has a tricycle available to take you to the town square when needed, which is helpful because it's about a 15-20min walk. I had an amazing stay at the El Nido Reef Strand Resort — truly a 10/10 experience. The view alone is breathtaking. Waking up and enjoying meals while overlooking the beach and nearby islands was unforgettable. The property feels very private and peaceful, which made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Getting there can be a bit of a challenge since the road is quite bumpy, but once you arrive, it’s absolutely worth it. The hotel also makes things easy by offering a convenient shuttle service to town and the airport. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The German owner may seem a bit reserved at first, but once you start a conversation, he’s genuinely warm and accommodating. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway with stunning views, this place is a gem.

I'll be very honest: Positive things: - An excellent staff of workers, very efficient, friendly, and understanding. - You'll be steps from the beach and see wonderful sunsets. - Good mattress and pillows for sleeping. - Smart TV in the room. - Free shuttle from the hotel to town from 8 am to 5 pm. Negative things: - I booked the stay through the Wofit app, and the photos are nothing like the place. - The pool was dirty throughout my entire stay. - In room 103, where I stayed, the bathroom smelled awful, and that smell permeated the room... it was a very unpleasant smell that became very uncomfortable to breathe. - The hotel has a lot of potential, but it lacks maintenance and investment in some improvements. The staff truly do wonders with the limited resources they have. - The breakfast buffet was the most meager I've ever seen. One of the biggest drawbacks is that the owner, an older gentleman, is extremely aggressive and rude. I saw him yelling at other guests (he was right), but that's no way to treat any guest. He rudely interrupts any conversation you're having with the staff, shouting back and forth, as if you were in a rural area. They rent beach towels for $80 a day. Consider all these pros and cons before booking a stay at this place.

Det var et ret slidt hotel med værelser, der ikke var i god stand. Poolen havde man ikke lyst til at bade i… Maden var heller ikke noget at råbe hurra for. Tilgengæld var der den smukkeste udsigt og enormt sødt personale!

Great staff!

The entire staff are very helpful and accommodating during our whole stay, which we greatly appreciate as travelers! The resort was most helpful for coordinating our transportation from and to the airport - this really put us at ease and made our stay so much better!

The rooms were clean and well stocked. Amazing views of the ocean and scenery. The staff were outstanding friendly and very helpful in every aspect. They provided transportation as requested with advice on eating and excursions. Everyone and everything there was over the top!

I must say the pictures were not as shown ..This place is well off the beaten path , that being said the staff are like family and they went out of their way to get you to your tour or travel …the road in and out was crazy you are not in the center of things..please bookyour tours with Oly the owner he connected great price and with loved him.

Very run-down hotel. While they do have a few rooms with a real sea view, the room we were given — and paid for as a sea-view room — had no sea view at all. And this is not a three star hotel. The room was old, worn, and damp, with a strong smell of an old basement. It was dark and unpleasant. We tried to raise the issue with the staff, but were simply told there was nothing they could do. During our stay, we were badly bitten by insects/bedbugs — around 60–70 bites each. The itching was extreme. The staff insisted they were mosquito bites, but they were not. The pool seemed dirty. Didn’t use it. We had booked three nights but left after two. The only positive aspect was that the staff were friendly. Apart from that, there is nothing positive to say.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, easy access to the beach, nice pool and sun loungers available. Walking distance to town

This was my second stay at the Reef Strand. Last year I was there before the remodel. The place has a great new look and I'd call it a gem. Owner and most of the staff go out of their way to make things run smoothly. If your looking for a loud party haven it's not there. At the Reef you'll find peace and relaxation. However, if you want to stay up all night and drink till the sun comes up the staff will be gladly tuk tuk you to where the nights run into the day. Rates are reasonable considering pricing in the other 3 and 3 1/2 star hotels and all the meals I've eating there were very good. So if your going to EL NIdo it's well worth checking in, you'll prob be back for a second or third time like me.

We had the most wonderful stay here, thanks to Ate Rhose, Oli, and the entire team. Despite our very late arrival (past midnight after a 5-hour van transfer from Puerto Princesa), they were incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived. Almost all the rooms are seafront, so we woke up to incredible views of the bay and the opposite islets every morning. The service was also top-notch; they offered free shuttles to the town square and organized several activities for us. The team was always available and went above and beyond. I would definitely stay here again!

Clean room, beds are very comfortable. Staff are amazing! Spectacular view and a nice pool. Can easily walk to the touristy area of El Nido
