After years of dreaming about visiting Boracay and staying at this resort, our experience was far from what we expected. From the moment we arrived, there were issues that overshadowed our entire stay.
Room & Service Issues:
- Delayed check-in– After a long journey, we had to wait unnecessarily to get our room.
- Toilet problems– Our toilet frequently didn’t flush properly, which was frustrating.
- Unhappy staff – Many employees seemed grumpy and disengaged, which was surprising, especially during what should be a festive season (close to New Year’s Eve).
Unreasonable Costs & Poor Value:*
- No free drinking water – In a hot climate like the Philippines, charging for water is unacceptable, especially when even hotter countries like Egypt and Turkey provide it freely.
- Overpriced food – The resort’s dining prices were exorbitant, and most guests (including us) ate outside to save money.
- Breakfast selection lacking – My parents even spoke to HR about the limited and underwhelming breakfast options—definitely not up to standard for a hotel of this rating.
1 Positive:
The only nice touch was the flower petals arranged for our engagement celebration and special trip with our elderly parents. However, this small gesture couldn’t make up for the overall poor experience.
We were genuinely relieved to leave, which is not how anyone should feel on vacation. Sadly, we **will not return** and **cannot recommend** this resort to friends or family.
