First ever visit to a schist village, and it was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable, AC was excellent, kitchen was very well equipped. Breakfast is made to order (pre-ordered) every morning and is excellent.
Staff is attentive and accomodating, we found our room made up while we were at breakfast. A really special detail.

This was an absolutely marvelous place. Admittedly there is not much to do in this quiet village, but we found that the comfort of the home kept us very happy. We especially enjoyed the fireplace with firewood included to create a very cozy ambience. The room is very thoughtfully designed and has lots of light. The staff at the breakfast were very kind and provided excellent service. I really enjoyed the chance to customise our breakfast before arrival. I would absolutely return here on a future trip to Portugal.

A magical spot in the mountains of Lousã. Amazing that there are mountain bike and hiking trails right into the village of Gondramaz. No dinner during the week at the moment, but bring dinner up with you or drive down into Miranda de corvo to get dinner. Delicious breakfast though!

If you like one of a kind exoeriences with 4* accommodations this is the place! We loved the drive into the mountains and then the surprise of arriving at a restored medieval shale village! Our apt, Maria, was perfect. It had an ultra modern interior, very comfy bed and barh, full kitchen, infinity pool, and a gorgeous view. I wish that we could have stayed longer to hike the trails. And breakfast was excellent!

We had a little difficulty on arrival because there was a no entry sign across the road leading to the village and we went past it. We eventually found our way and had to swerve round the barrier. Had we been told about this, we would have found the village more easily.
The once abandoned hilltop village has been sensitively restored and is now mainly reliant on tourism. Our house was typical - a large picture window with views over wooded hillsides, plenty of solid wooden beams and furniture.
The bedroom was downstairs and a handrail would have been handy.
The taps and basins were trendy and impractical, with water splashing everywhere, but apart from that all worked well.
The house was well equipped with a full oven and dishwasher.
Breakfast was excellent and the staff very polite and helpful. The pool area was pleasant and welcome at the end of a hot day.
We had difficulty finding a television channel, but overall, we would recommend this property, especially if you like peace and quiet.

The village is peaceful and relaxing. The hotel is in an amazing setting with mountain views. The room is incredible with all the facilities and super clean. The hotel also has a bbq and they give you all the freedom to use and enjoy their space.
