Quinta Atlantis is a beautiful space that makes you feel right at home. The craftsmanship of the wood is amazing and the fireplace is awesome. A great place for solo or couple travelers in the hills of Povoacao. You’ll spend time with the dog Laika and the cat Pluto who are very friendly, but will give you space as well. Breakfast is the best you’ll get on the island. Fruit, eggs, fresh Jam, yogurt, vegetables and hummus. I will surely stay there next time I’m on Sao Miguel.

Love the animals. Really home feeling. I feel sad when i had to leave. Nice breakfast. Workers were friendly and location suited me.

L’accueil de Mme Adélia et M. Guy était hors pair, leur gentillesse, leurs conseils ainsi que tous les petits détails réfléchis de leur bel emplacement font de cet endroit une maison où il fait bon de vivre. Je le recommande sans hésiter. Ce fut un coup de cœur. Et un délice au déjeuner. Espérant y retourner un jour!

Un alojamiento espectacular !Esta en pura naturaleza ,rodeado de vacas ,caballos, solo se escuchan los pájaros . Trato familiar ,muy agradecidos a los dueños y personal. Tomar los desayunos caseros, típicos de la zona preparados con cariño en una terraza con vistas al océano y montañas ,es una pasada. Muy recomendable para desconectarse de la rutina diaria y disfrutar de los paisajes de la isla .Hasta pronto familia!

Great place to stay and the staff is amazing

Best place I ever stayed at. Amazingly beautiful environment with water, mountain and field views. Amazing owners and staff with a breakfast feast that caters to each guests preference with lots of fresh fruit from their organic garden. Adelia and Guy were readily available to make excellent recommendations on activities, help book rental car/taxi or whatever came up. Farm animals on property . Would definitely love to go back to this property and the island. Ideal location to recharge and be nurtured.

Beautiful surroundings; clean and well maintained; wonderful staff; a very comfortable place to stay; very good base to visit the eastern part of Sao Miguel island.

We’ve spent 3 days at Quinta Atlantis and had a very delightful stay. The house is very spacious and the property has some amazing views onto the ocean and countryside. Our room on the second floor (sea theme) was very airy and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy and bathroom was also spacious and very functional, although it had a slight sewage smell to it so we kept the door closed and window open. Maria was an amazing hostess and the breakfasts she made for us were some of the best we’ve had on our trip! We are just sad we didn’t have more time to enjoy the accommodation itself as it is very charming inside and out. The only potential issue is the very steep and narrow road leading up to the place, so make sure you’re comfortable with your driving.

Wonderful, friendly hosts with lots of local suggestions and advice. Great food and amazing property! Highly recommend!

Sehr schönes familiäres Bed&Breakfast. Grosse Räume und das Spezielle… das Frühstück an der grossen Tafel. Ideal um sich auszutauschen. Der Aufenthalt im östlichen Teil lohnt sich. Die Restaurantauswahl hält sich in Grenzen. Gute Planung und alles ist perfekt.
