The team from Expedia should really go see this place before offering it to the Expedia customers. We depend on you and trust that you have done your part before booking your clients. The place is semi abandoned with two out of the four buildings boarded up and broken windows and the place really needs a good cleaning and painting,new roof, power washing exterior and so on. Shame on you Expedia for having this property on your listing 😞😡

Expedia should have looked at the Solarea Beach Resort before renting it to us.

Area and Pool bad conditons

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly, very secure and private. Not too far from San Juan, but even so there was still a bit to do in the immediate area as well. Only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Very helpful and gave us a new room when our initial one became damaged due to a tropical storm. Very helpful service as well.

Stay was not Good. We booked to have a relaxed weekend, and get to know Palmas del Mar. When we reached at the property, the whole building Solarea needed maintenance. The unit where we stayed was clean, but it seems it has not been renovated in years. The A/C unit of the Master room sounded extremely loud (I believe by the amount of years runned down), and we had to shut it off, and turn on the fan, and open the door, so some of the A/C from the Living room cooled a bit. The curtains of the room did not have black out, which at 6:30 AM it was extremely bright, and to put the cherry on top of the cake, at Saturday 8AM, the Landscape crew (lwan mowers, trimmers, blowers) decided to give a full Service , and woke up the whole neighborhood at 8AM. Not sufre why having the entire week to do this, they choose to do this at a Saturday early bird. Therefore, if you are looking for a place to relax for the weekend, I would suggest you stay at the Hotel instead, which was my first choice.

I do not recommend this property. Nothing was easily accessible. No nearby food. No restaurants delivered. No beach entry. This property isnt anything like its description.

I really enjoyed this stay, definitely will come back again.

Es un excelente lugar para unos dias de descanso en familia. Muchos restaurantes cerca, playa y piscina en el patio. Petfriendly ☆☆☆☆☆.

The space was wonderful the ocean view was amazing!!!! Our host was very accommodating and nice! The whole resort is a must!!!! A lot to do very clean and safe for family’s!

There response was fast when needed!

Beautiful property . Safe. Quiet . Buildings Not well maintained .kitchen outlets didn’t work. Fitness center not ventilated. Poor Beach access (had to walk over construction fence). Beautiful beach

Beautiful design landscape and property but its not a resort, there is no room service or food service in the property. Spacious and clean apartment and balcony with nice furniture. Would have been nice to have (1) towel racks/hooks at the master bedroom, only one present and it was a challenge drying wet pool clothes and bath towels (3) hand towels at bathrooms, (4) mirrors in all bathrooms (one of the guest rooms did not had one), (5) luggage racks at closets, and (6) kitchen towel and dish rack. It did had toiletry, bath towels and pool/beach towels, and bed fittings smelled super nice. Beautiful ocean view and close-by parking area. Strange enough two out of the four buildings in the complex were boarded up ( roof tiles gone with roof exposed as well as doors/windows broken or missing) which is off. Pool is really nice and spacious but needs umbrellas (only two available and one was broken). Front gate armed security guard friendly and accommodating. Somewhat dark at night not to many site lighting fixtures. Beach access was closed off as it seems that they are under construction of a new breakwater/seawall edge ( lots of boulders could be seen at beach).

The apartment and the community is very nice, but the apartment itself needs work; shower in the main bathroom did not work properly; the main AC in the living room turned on and off, sliding doors did not open. The place was very clean and the apartment itself is very spacious and the common area is very nice. All the staff around are super pleasant, friendly and polite. I highly recommend the property and area, just needs some work to be done.
