Was ok for one night

I loved my room, two beds, double and a single. Good size. Nice big windows. Bar downstairs. Liam personalized my stay and was more than hospitable. Property is close by the town centre and very very close to the railway station and near bus stops into Hamilton and other surrounding towns.

Lovely welcome, room ready early. Room basic but does the job. Really comfortable bed. Shower not the best, not very powerful and took an age to warm up (and then went cold halfway through!)

Quiet setting with friendly, helpful staff. Easy walking distance to town centre.

Excellent staff! Liam, Austin and Joseph made our stay very pleasant! The Hotel is in a good location. It's near a train station, and a short walk to the surrounding area, which has shops and eating options. I highly recommend this hotel!

I run a small kayak club and we came to Scotland to paddle the Falkirk Wheel. I booked this hotel as I loved its old world charm and it was extremely convenient to everything and priced very reasonably. We stayed a week and my group could not have been happier! The Manager Liam was fantastic! Full of information and there to help you for what ever you needed! My group was exceptionally pleased with the hotel and staff. Thank you again!

Location to central motherwell

Lovely place to stay! Room was cosy and clean, staff very welcoming. Highly recommended!

Reception staff were excellent. Couldn’t have been more attentive and breakfast left at the room door was a welcome surprise. Room was fine for single guest, but maybe add a towel hook and soap dish to the bathroom?

We appreciate we did not pay a lot for this hotel, however, perhaps the room could have been a bit cleaner (a coat of paint, bathroom flooring not great and a hair in the shower cubicle.)

I am a regular. Extremely worth the money. Extremely helpful and understanding staff, who even sorted another hotel for me when they were fully booked. All rooms are different and in 19th and early 20th century style. Love it ❤️

Excellent as always great hotel staff friendly as ever

The room was large and comfortable When we booked breakfast was included but no breakfast for anyone as kitchen was getting renovated. I was a bit annoyed that I hadn’t been notified by hotels.com or the hotel before our stay. The water pressure in the shower was poor but hot enough and the shower tray filled up with water on our last night we had noisy neighbours (if you know what I mean) which spoiled our stay a bit but overall cheap cheerful handy for the town. Loads of pubs and takeaways will definitely be back.

The room was okay and clean. There was unfortunately no pressure in the shower, and we had to wait 15 minutes for the water to turn warm. other than that it was a convenient and easy.

This hotel had many good features. The rooms were immaculately clean, the bedlinen was good quality and smelt delicious, good lighting in the room, shampoo, showergel and soap good, bathmat in bathroom and some thought had gone in to the decor in the rooms. However, although clean the shower room had rotting skirting boards, the bedside table and desk were cheap and showing wear.The view from the window over a derelict flatroof building was unappealing and the carpark had a lot of litter lying about. The night porter was nowhere to be seen when we left at 8am and there was no bell to summon anyone so we just left our key cards on the reception desk. Most disappointing was that they no longer served breakfast, despite it being advertised as included when we booked through Expedia. That was one thing that attracted us to this hotel. It wasn't on the order confirmation so there was a miscommunication somewhere and we don't feel we got what we thought we paid for. Wouldn't go back.

A great stay and good price. Parking is limited and bathroom dated but all other aspects were excellent. Would stay again. Thank you
